ArcHydro Tools HydroConfig settings

I'm trying to set up a project to run the longest flowpath in ArcHydro Tools (under ArcMap 10.1 SP1). I have created a directory and added the fdr grid and watershed boundary (both in the same projection). When I try to set the HydroConfig settings either for the application or for the map and I provide the directory name, I get the following error message:
