From http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257046, I guess that the problem is due to the reason stated in that post: The folder that you are attempting to copy has a path that exceeds 250 characters. Or, the folder that you are attempting to copy contains subfolders and the full path to one or more of the subfolders exceeds 250 characters. In that post, it also mentions that: Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

I just changed another CPU and then I re-compiled my Flewviewer project (based on ESRI's V1.3 w/ customization). However, after compiling, some images are not loaded into the \bin-debug\...\images\icons\ folder. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Rene: Thanks for your response. I did get the right site. Per your instruction, I found the readme. However, using that procedure only allows me to run ESRI's sample. I want to revise their code and do some customization. I did another try: replace my existing code by V2.0 code, but got something stranger. The widget boarder disappears. I have worked on Flexviewer 1.3 project for a while in FB 3 and 4. Now I want to use 2.0. I downloaded the source code. But when I try to import the project, I got the error: The folder does not contain a valid Flash Builder Project. Besides, there are several config files in the V2.0, which one I should use? I could not find a Readme file. If you know how to work on V2.0, please share your experience. Thanks and have a nice weekend!

I used ERSI's Flexviewer template and like it very well. Several months ago, I tried to use API 2.0 to replace 1.3. However, I got a lot of errors. Today I tried again, and was still unsuccessful. A typical type of error is post below: component UniqueValueInfo is defined more than once in this namespace. Remove the mapping to com.esri.ags.renderers.supportClasses:UniqueValueInfo or com.esri.ags.renderers:UniqueValueInfo Resource: Flexviewer Location: Unknown Type: Flex Problem I had a post below for this problem. Has any accounted this problem? If yes, how to solve it? Please share your experience. Thanks.

Robert: I tried to update my customized Flewviewer using API 2.0. but got a lot of errors. The error look likes: component SimpleMarkerSymbol is defined more than once in this namespace. Remove the mapping to com.esri.ags.symbol:SimpleMarkerSymbol or com.esri.ags.symbols:SimpleMarkerSymbol Flexviewer Location: Unknown It is really hard to debug them. I tried to use PictureMarkerSymbol for some customized points. However, no marker is displayed. The code for the PictureMarkerSymbol is below: public var pointSym_Peolpe0:PictureMarkerSymbol = new PictureMarkerSymbol( "@Embed(source='com/esri/solutions/flexviewer/assets/images/icons/Icon2/People_0.png' )", 5, 5, 0, 0, 0); The path is right.
