Never mind. I knew I would figure it out as soon as I replied. I didn't have the iPad connected to my desktop, but now that it is, I can see what you're talking about. Thanks!

Thanks, Jill. Any chance you could post some screen shots? I’ve looked on the iPad as well as on the desktop version of iTunes and am not finding an Apps tab or anything about file transfer beyond music and video files.

Can you elaborate on "side loading through iTunes"? I'm looking for a hack that would allow me to put my current aerials directly on our iPads so that the field crews don't have to keep downloading bits and pieces.

Is there a widget out there that would allow me to publish a custom geocoder that would allow my web users to map multiple points from an Excel spreadsheet? For example, if I published a single-field geocoder that matched up with parcel PIN numbers, is there a widget that could grab the PIN from a user-provided spreadsheet and map points through my custom geocoder? I'm thinking that it would be like the Add Data widget, but instead of using the supported fields that are predefined to work with Esri's geocoder, I could have a PIN field.

Yes, we have data that we are not currently sharing in our public web apps because we cannot hide the table view in the source web map. I know how to hide table accessibility in web apps (I'm using WAB Developer Edition), but the web map itself is still public and therefore searchable/discoverable via ArcGIS Online searches. I'm sure it seems odd that we would be willing to expose data via a click in the map, but not in a table. Without going into specifics, we are concerned that making the data visible in an aggregated format will lead to misuse of the information. Thank you for confirming that table view cannot be disabled in a web map. Alix's response suggests that there is a way to set up a web map so that it is only be available through a published web app; is that possible? I haven't found any documentation online that offers a workflow for this. Or perhaps there is a workflow that would meet our needs via Portal?

I'm publishing my map through Web AppBuilder Developer Edition, using a web map created in ArcGIS Online. So, I created a web map, published it to the public, and then selected that web map as my basemap in WAB. Is it possible to not share the web map publicly in ArcGIS Online and then make it available through the WAB web app? That would be ideal.

Is there a way to disable the Show Table button for end users in a basic ArcGIS Online web map? I know that you can disable that option if you share the web map via Web AppBuilder, but if the source web map is shared publicly, anyone could open it and then open the table from that location.

Good news: I finally found the rogue application and got it fixed. I'm still curious to know if there is a way to trace the source of calls to services. That would be a handy piece of information to have.

Last week, I discovered that I had an issue with my custom printing service, so I reverted my maps to the ArcGIS default service and stopped the custom print service. I was only using the custom printing service in one web app (or so I thought), but now I'm getting constant warning messages in my Server log file: My question: is there any way to start with a service and trace the source of the calls to it? I've checked, rechecked, and triple checked every web app that I have and cannot find anything referring to the custom print service.

Can you expand at all on support's recommendation? I found the security-config.json file and I can rename it, but I don't understand what you mean by replacing it with the default one for BUILTIN. Where did you find that file?

I downloaded the latest widget this morning and am running into a problem. I went through your instruction document and configured the search by value settings, but when I test the actual widget, I am not allowed to type in the search box. I can click in it and I get a cursor, but it won't take any keyboard input. Any idea what setting I've got misconfigured that would cause that issue? My suspicion is that I've got the expression wrong: Do I need to put anything in the text box to the right of the two drop-downs that select the field and the operator?

I didn’t try that since the colon wasn’t really critical to the message. I just changed the wording to remove it. I bet you could put an escape character in, though. Would be worth a test if someone absolutely had to have a special character in that spot.

I found the root cause of my issue. You cannot put special characters in the Widget label field, as they will be misinterpreted when the Javascript tries to execute. Here's what I had. Note the colon -- that is bad news! **shakes fist at special characters**

That did the trick. I had to delete this block of code: { "uri": "widgets/Splash/Widget", "position": { "relativeTo": "browser" }, "version": "2.5", "id": "widgets_Splash_Widget_49", "name": "Splash", "label": "Important: Offline notice for server upgrade", "config": "configs/Splash/config_Important: Offline notice for server upgrade.json", "visible": false }, I have a ticket in with Esri support. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this because I would like to have a splash screen. Plus, I really don't want to have to manually delete a block of code every time I update the website.
