That helps -- I wasn't able to make sense of the documentation, but you've clarified how it is supposed to work. I wonder my problem is that Portal 10.7.1 doesn't support date fields in Indicators? When I click the drop-down to choose a field for my reference value, it tells me that I have "No matching options" in the feature: I don't have any numeric fields in this feature class -- just text and dates -- so I'm guessing that it's looking for a short, long, or double field. EDITED TO ADD: Looks like dates aren't supported, if this post on Geonet is correct. If that's the case, I wonder how they did the card in the example in my screenshot? There has to be math involved somewhere, or the ticker wouldn't be dynamic. ... View more

I'm on WAB 2.14 and having the same problem. Really need each side to have it's own label. I also noticed that the trashcan icon has been replaced by a triangle with an exclamation point in it. (The button still works, but the graphic is different.) I don't really care about the icon, but I'd love to have that label functionality resolved. Maybe the creator isn't around anymore? Ready for this? I just went back into my web map to experiment with the FeatureSetBy functionality … and the pop-ups are working properly today. I left the map set up with the layer exactly as I published it from Pro and discarded all of my tinkering. It's working exactly as designed.  If anyone can explain that, you are a better man/woman than I! ... View more

The {expression/MajorityParty} came from the settings in ArcGIS Pro. I published the layer using the Share as Web Layer tool, and since I had the option to create an alias in Pro, I did. There does not appear to be a spot in the Portal configuration dialogue box to specify an alias for custom expressions. With my first attempt, I published all of the custom expressions (including the one that is causing me problems) directly from Portal. When they weren't working, I deleted them and recreated them manually in the Portal web map to see if there was a bug in their transfer from Pro to Portal. I'm not sure what clustering is within the context of this discussion -- Xander, can you clarify what you're asking? I didn't think about using that new functionality to call the table without actually putting it into my map. I will play around with that and see if I get better results.
