Hi Kevin, I request you to please confirm the following: 1. Version and Service pack level of ArcGIS Desktop? 2. Version and Service pack level of ArcGIS Data Reviewer? 3. What type of Data Workspace you are using? Is it SDE, File Geodatabase or Personal Geodatabase? 4. Are you running Valency Check through Batch Job or as Individual Check? 5. Can you also confirm if you are able to reproduce this issue with any other data? I tried but not able to reproduce this issue at my end, if you are able to reproduce the same with any other data then I request you to please contact Esri Technical Support. We have to further investigate to find out the root cause of this issue. Please refer to the following link to contact Esri Technical Support: http://support.esri.com/phoneSupport#us

Hi Neil, The Notes field in the Reviewer table is used to provide a description/information about the check. So whatever you mention in Notes section while configuring the check gets associated to all the records returned by that specific check. Currently, we don't have any functionality to mass update the Notes field from Reviewer table. However you can edit the Notes field for one record at a time. Also I have a suggestion if you are not following a normal production workflow, you can use Custom CorrectionStatus to convey your information and then actual Correction Technician overwrite that field to provide the final correction status.

Hi Steven, I request you to please confirm the following: 1. What version and service pack level of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Data Reviewer you are using? 2. Road features in the screenshot, are they coming from two different feature classes? If yes, are they all participating in the Topology? 3. Please confirm if you are running Find Dangles check individually or using a Reviewer Batch Job? You may be experiencing a bug logged in our internal system about Find Dangles check returning incorrect results when run as Individual Check. I also request you to please share a small sample of the data that you are using so that we can try to reproduce the same issue at our end.

Hi, The Report By Total Record Count contains a summary of all the records in the Reviewer table. If their is no record from a specific feature class in the Reviewer Table then it will not list that feature class in the report. If you want to list all the primary feature classes participating in the batch Job then you can use "Automated Check Report By Origin Table". But please go through the following points before creating a Check Report By Origin Table: 1. Make sure that you run all the checks in a single batch job - This is necessary to avoid duplication of feature classes in the report under different batch job executions. If you are running multiple batch jobs then you need to make sure that same feature class is not used in both the batch jobs or it will be listed twice in the report. 2. Individual Check execution - In "Automated Check Report By Origin Table" all the results are extracted from REVCHECKRUNTABLE and REVTABLEMAIN and these tables also include results from Individual Check execution. 3. Another difference between these two reports is about the Total Records vs Records Validated - Total records is the number of features available in the feature class but Records validated shows number of records participating in the validation. For eg. If your feature class contains 100 features but you have provided a Where clause in the batch job that is true for only 50 features in the feature class then you will get "50" in Records validated and "100" for Total records. Hope this helps.

Hi, You can symbolize the Reviewer feature records in ArcMap and then export individual layers(Reviewer Points, Reviewer Polylines and Reviewer Polygons) from ArcMap. This way the exported feature class will get the same information present in the Reviewer Table. But why do you want to export this information to another layer? Thanks, Kumar

Hi Steven, If you are dealing with more than one datum then it is suggested to have different Reviewer workspace for each datum. For a new DR user, do I send them a copy of the new reviewer.gdb that came with install with the result that each person has their own reviewer.gdb that they use? - You donâ??t need to send a copy of Reviewer workspace to a new Data Reviewer user, they can create a new Reviewer workspace with the specific datum matching their data. Please refer to the following link explaining how you can create a new Reviewer workspace. Starting a Reviewer session in a nonenterprise geodatabase http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/in_a_nonenterprise_geodatabase/01020000005w000000/ Starting a Reviewer session in an enterprise geodatabase http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/in_an_enterprise_geodatabase/010200000061000000/ And if so, does that mean that they must make copies of the original reviewer.gdb each time they need work in another datum with the result that they might have reviewer01.gdb, reviewer02.gdb, etc with each assigned a different datum? - Yes, they have to use different Reviewer workspaces for different datum. For eg. If I have two Parcel datasets with one in projection WGS 1984 and another in projection NAD 1983 then I have to create two separate Reviewer workspaces if I want to QC both of them. However, if you have the Reviewer workspace set for one datum then you can use Sessions to separate the work done by different users. From what I read, the datum of a reviewer.gdb must match the analyzed data's datum in order to write the geometry to the reviewer table. So it seems that they need to have multiple reviewer.gdb files to account for that. - Yes, datum of the Reviewer workspace should match with the datum of the analyzed data to write the geometries in the Reviewer table. I want to make sure I am deploying this correctly and not starting off on the wrong foot. Would appreciate any comments on general best practices with respect to administration. I watched all the videos but they didn't touch on that point. - If you are working with Enterprise Geodatabase then please refer to the following links to setup the Reviewer workspace appropriately: Storing the Reviewer workspace in an enterprise Geodatabase in a version environment scenario: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/Storing_the_Reviewer_workspace_in_an_enterprise_geodatabase/010200000052000000/ Best Practices for Storing the ArcGIS Data Reviewer Workspace in an Enterprise Geodatabase for Oracle: http://downloads.esri.com/support/whitepapers/other_/J9785_GIS_Data_ReViewer_Wkspace_ArcSDE_Oracle_5-1.pdf Best Practices for Storing the ArcGIS Data Reviewer Workspace in an Enterprise Geodatabase for SQL Server: http://downloads.esri.com/support/whitepapers/other_/J9786_ArcGIS_Data_ReViewer_Workspace_ArcSDE_SQL.pdf

Hi, It seems you are experiencing the same issue mentioned in the following bug logged in our internal system: Bug 44804 - Batch Job error : Unable to start editing on BatchRun Table. This bug is planned to get fixed in our next patch for ArcGIS Data Reviewer 10.1 for Desktop.
