Cattyann,    Well... I got to say I was not expecting this one. Currently there is no way for you to do this, but if you send me the file I will see what I can do. Hi Robert! Thanks for the Enhanced Draw Widget! I suppose I should should thank you for the trouble its causing me of late ;). Actually, I have a questions... We're working on some Fire zones and one of the Firechiefs went through the trouble of using the Enhanced Draw Widget to mark-up an online service and now the issue is we need to get this into ArcGIS Desktop so we can create these zones he added via the draw widget. He saved it as a graphic layer and I can load it up in the map service but not in ArcMap gives me an error there... Is there anyway to load this in ArcMap? Export? Hey I had a look at your Google site and tried to send a message via the supplied link but I got a couple of non-deliverable messages back. Hi Bjorn and others, Can we get a list of what functionality is in or being improved? I work for a regional council and along with a few other councils we have created a collaborative group to improve some of the base components from the flex viewer. We only improve the widgets (though have created some new ones from scratch) and try to stay well within the framework provided. We are just sitting in the wings ready to release our next version based of the beta viewer 2.0 but are awaiting the next release. We also have a few specified widgets to develop but would love to get an indication on what esri are going to deliver �??out of the box�?? so we can concentrate on areas that esri aren�??t (i.e. if it�??s good enough from out of the box we go with that). Area�??s we are about to or are working on  .... �?�    Improving the bookmark widget o    save graphics o    save active base map o    save active layers and what�??s turned on o    ability to share �?�    Improving on query widget (code from others) �?�    High quality printing o    Including scale bar o    Inc legends o    Inc graphics �?�    Improving the editing widget �?�    Having an .net handler to redirect users to their config files based off their section/dept they work for. How does one get the identify tool to work in SFV 2.0? Did ESRI kill the identify capability in 2 or did I miss something? Chad,    The issue with having to type exactly what you are searching for is an easy fix just replace <expression>NAME = '[value]'</expression> with <expression>NAME LIKE '%[value]%'</expression> Next your list of fields needs to include all the fields you are going to use separated by a comma. So add the hyperlink field into your list of fields. In regards to widgets that you can download from the code gallery you have to ensure they are developed for the particular FlexViewer version that you are working with. So the identify widget on the code gallery is a 1.x version and will not work for the FlexViewer2.0. ... View more

Simon,      You do need to compile it your self. I have always had bad experiences distributing compiled swfs in the past. Oh now I see why this widget does not work for my app. Need to compile it but no way of compiling it without a copy of Flash 4 which we don't have a copy of on our server nor would I know what I'm doing even if we had one... ... Thanks I'm aware something is controlling it thanks for the culprits but I don't have the ability to change this I'm using the Sample Viewer and no way of compiling MXML files so can't do anything with this. All I'm trying to do is get an identify with a hyperlink to work easy thing and worked OK in the previous Sample Viewer but since I've moved to this 2 beta widgets that were in 1.X have been hidden or removed in this version. It seems you have to compile just to get basic stuff to work in 2.0. I know that they aren't finished with this it is beta but the least the ESRI folks could have done is incorporate some of the widgets that were already out and about including the beautiful ones you have worked on and shared... They could have taken those and made them configurable out of the box. Perhaps you should talk these people into hiring you... You got my vote! Thanks again! ... View more

So essentially there is no way to do an identify with hyperlink in the Flex SV 2.0 when using Server 9.3 you have to use 10 and specify a feature layer... The only way I get hyperlinks to work with 9.3 is by using the query widget which for some reason highlights my entire layer... in hot pink red... (See attached) How can I get the mother of all highlights to go away. BTW I can get identify to work in this state when I use the InfoPopupWidget.swf instead of the SimpleInfoWinWidget.swf in my config file... ... View more

It helps to let the forum know which version of ArcGIS Server you are using as well, due to the fact that AGS 10 has the "FeatureServer" capability, while 9.3.1 does not have this option. For Flex 2.0, it really is best to have AGS 10 in my experience, due to the samples ESRI gives use the FeatureServer capability for the InfoPopup samples. Try switching your type from feature to dynamic if you are not using AGS 10, and it should show up then. Switching the type from feature to dynamic in 9.3.1 did not work for me. I like Robert's list as well... I miss the zoom tools (zoom in/zoom out) and the identify tool. Although I agree you can zoom in and out in many ways users are used to having those tools. Buffer is a must... Keep the widgets coming 😉 ... View more
