Hello Duncan Hornby, Reporting capability is useful to those who run models periodically. The report gives them a way to compare between runs for failures or value changes. About its benefits and the work that is still pending - 1) Gives an overview of the entire model with its variables, processes, value and messages. 2) Two way editing between model and report that can be synced automatically or manually (being worked on) 3) Overall model statistics about processes, total time to run the model, sub models, iterations etc (being worked on) 4) Embedded optional model metadata (In design) 5) Model notes to keep track of model history between analysts (in future releases) 6) Two way selection highlights and visual indication (being worked on) 7) Updated style sheet and capability to save the report as pdf (future release) 😎 Report comparison and visual feedback (Long term plan) Hope this helps. Thanks for your suggestions Marco! I understand icons have a very immediate visual connection and model parameters might make sense on top for some cases. Hi Jamal, No, you will not loose any tools or behaviors in ModelBuilder as you move to Pro. The only thing missing is Export to Python functionality that existed in 10x and till some version of Pro, but is currently not included in Pro's latest release. In fact, we have added new functionalities such as: Logical tools, Searching  for model elements in a model, Filtering elements based on a flag in a model (the filter icon next to search box in the model view), Searching and adding tools in model directly by typing the tool name, Diagram (layout and routing options) Batch processing/models Besides ModelBuilder in particular we have added many great tools and capabilities in Geoprocessing. Hi Jamal, If you click on the Auto Layout Button it makes the lines straight while working with the model. Currently, the links routes are not saved with the model. However, we do have an open issue to preserve the link shapes on saving a model. Sorry, for the inconvenience it is causing, but we are working to fix the issue. Thanks! ... View more

Hi Robert, Thanks for reporting this issue! Is it possible for you to share the model? Is it the old model that has exhibited this issue before or was the model created at 2.3? Can you copy and paste the problematic calculate field tool in this model and a new model and see if the issue goes away? Can you also try save as on the model  with the problematic cal field tool and check if the new model shows the issue? ... View more

Beau Johnson Please can you share the snapshot of the model and the tool dialog of the tool where the add to display dos not work from the GP tool dialog? Probably it is intermediate and is getting deleted from the gp tool dialog. Make that output a parameter and it will work. ... View more

Hi Kyle Balke, This is a know issue. We are working to fix it. This behavior exhibits only in few cases. To get past this bug please re-add the calculate value tool. If you could share the repro steps you took that led to the tool getting in this state. For example, did you share the toolbox or model? copy pasted it? added in previous release and now it just shows like this in 2.1? You can add segment nodes by simply clicking on the connector lines, but you still do not have the choice to choose a type of routing. Plus existing issues with the diagramming package prevents us from giving that control or avoid auto route currently. We are working to get these issues resolved. ... View more

What you are describing is an inconsistent behavior and a bug with reading a layer, unfortunately i am unable to reproduce it with the current version. Which ArcMap version do you have? ... View more

Hi, Carel Kotze Is it possible to share your model and your data sample? The default output of the iterator is 1 because, before it has run there is no way to know what the value will be. Especially when you are making generic models with undefined variable values or data types there is no way to connect the output of the iterator to the downstream tools if it has absolutely no information. If I could see the model snapshot with the tool dialog of the tools both iterator and the Make Feature Layer that would help solve this. Hi Jamal, We use a third party diagramming package and currently they have a bug/gap with links and routing. We are working with them and are hoping that we cal accommodate all types of routing such as straight line and orthogonal in the upcoming releases. Sorry for this current limitation. Thanks! ...
