Hi Nick I tried the Wi-Fi but it's of no help. Can you tell me how do I get details of the organization basemap? Not sure if you can access it but the details are as below 1. I am trying to view the map at location http://aucklandcouncil.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=c097947ece194c51b81de79422988e49 2. I normally use the basemap http://maps.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/ArcGIS/rest/services/Aerials/MapServer Tell me if I can improve for you to improve on the same. When you first open the app- we try and load the default basemap from your organization. So it's likely to be a problem retrieving the default basemap, or the type of basemap that is the issue. Could you please provide more details about your organizations default basemap? Also, I notice from the screenshot you are using a 3G connection- could you please verify if this also happens over wi-fi? But the esri link says otherwise http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/create-and-share-a-collector-map.htm "Note: If you have not published your layer using the steps in the previous tutorial and you are connected to ArcGIS Online, you can use a shared editable feature layer to follow the rest of this tutorial. Even with the specified layer if I enable offline editing by going to ArcGISOnline and select the checkbox "Enable offline mode." It gives me a message "This web map cannot be enabled for offline use. Learn more about taking your maps offline....." Guess I will have to give up on this ... View more

Thanks for the same. I had a look previously but my situation is I can't prepare the data for offline editing for obvious reasons. But your thread was helpful as there were pointers to what I wanted. If I look at the link, http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/create-and-share-a-collector-map.htm there is a section  mentioned "Note: To find the map on ArcGIS Online, search for Damage assessment tutorial owner:esri_collector type:map." Can someone tell me how do I get that map mentioned above as I don't find it in ArcGisOnline? Also anything similar would do for me. ... View more
