Try following steps: 1. Use extract by mask tool and extract the pixels below the polyline. ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) 2. Convert the extracted raster to points Using Raster to points tool ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) 3. Use the point to split the line using split line at point tool ArcGIS Desktop Hope this is helpful Kishor

As per documentation the tool takes raster layer and mosaic layer. Hence, I believe, it is giving the above error. Set data type to Raster layer and see if it works. ArcGIS Help 10.1 Also you can create an in_memory raster layer using Make raster layer tool (Data Management) after Get Value in model builder and provide it to Rotate tool. Here set the data type to Raster dataset in Get Value tool ArcGIS Desktop Hope this helps Kishor.

I believe it is a multipatch feature class. Right click on the layer > layer properties > Source > Data Source > Geometry Type = Multipatch or Could you please check if extrusion is applied on this layer? Right click on the layer > layer properties > Extrusion > uncheck Extrude feature in layer option. Hope this is help Kishor

Try following steps: 1. use Interpolate shape tool to extract the values of dem to polyline 2. Split the output polyline Useing split line at vertices tool 3. Use calculate geometry to have dem values in a field. 4. Use spatial join to join the elevation values from original polyline for comparison 5. Use field calculater to compare the extracted dem values and joined elevation from polyline Or use them for further analysis. Hope this helps Kishor

As suggested by the Victor you can calculate min z / max x and then use spatial join tool to add these values in the point feature class. or You can try using topo to raster tool and generate a raster surface using polylines. Then you can use Extract values to points. I am not sure how much topo to raster will help in this case however you can give a try. Hope this is helpful Kishor
