Oh, you're correct, it does! Maybe it was the Create Data Loading Workspace that wouldn't let me do that. So is that the recommended workflow--to load directly into AGOL? If I could get the subtype domains edited in AGOL then that might simplify things.

I posted before asking if anyone had yet deployed the Electric Joint Use Solution, and got no hits, so I'm trying to figure it out alone. In general, I have some gaps in my understanding of how this is supposed to work. We have a GIS system of record existing in an SDE database, but this is an AGOL solution, and uses a feature service which is modeled on the Electric Distribution Data Management solution. I'm trying to load our existing pole data into the solution, just to try the solution out and see if it's going to work for us, never mind the gorilla in the room of how to reconcile between the two databases on a regular basis. I'm using ArcGISPro 3.1, btw. I have figured out how to load data using the Append with Transformation tool from the Data Loading Toolbox. Okay, but it appears you can't load data into the hosted feature service directly, but only a local copy. The questions I have are: What's the correct workflow to create a local copy? Do I export directly from AGOL to a FGDB? Do I load the feature service into Pro and export from there? When I try option 2, a bunch of fields don't export, and it also doesn't maintain relationships. I feel like I'm missing something basic. How do I edit the subtype domains for the feature service? It doesn't appear possible in AGOL when domains are assigned to subtypes. So do I just edit the local copy subtype domains and then these will be edited when I overwrite the existing feature service?

I am running a down and dirty statistics on the shape length field as a sanity check for some analysis. I want to compare total length of original data to total length of the results of an overlay layer. So I have the same records selected that I used in the overlay, but when I examine the statistics, even though I clearly have a subset of records selected, as you can see in my screenshot, the statistics listed in the chart properties tab are identical for the dataset and the selection. It appears the selection isn't being honored when generating the statistics. Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?

Looks like you might be hitting up against 1000 feature limit for exporting. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-web-appbuilder-questions/record-return-limit-exporting-data-and-related/td-p/1108953

Thank you for the pointers. I can see the data loading is going to be a big deal. I think I will test with a small dataset to play around first. I'm still a little confused about what fields in the data will need to be filled out in order to make everything work, but I guess I'll figure it out through trial and error.

I deployed the new Electric Joint Use Solution to play with and see if it's something that could work for our organization. 52 separate items were deployed to a folder on AGOL. I guess I'm a little confused. I haven't ever deployed one of these solutions before. Is there documentation or metadata somewhere that describes the purpose of each item, its schema, relationships, etc? We have existing data that I need to load into the solution feature layers. There are many more fields than we track currently, but it's not clear which ones will be required or used by other items in the solution, what values the fields should take, or how they are intended to be used. I can give an example. The Pole feature layer contains a field called assettype. The field has no domain applied, does not allow null, and is of short numeric type. What am I supposed to do with that field? How do I map fields in my existing data to it if I have no idea of its purpose? The esri solutions page is very brief and unhelpful. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-solutions/latest/reference/introduction-to-electric-joint-use.htm

Hard to say without seeing your input parameters. I'm assuming it's fixed by now anyway.

Oh never mind. I just needed to restart Pro after adding the toolbox, apparently. Well, maybe this will help others.

Same. I just upgraded from 2.8 to the latest version, which is 3.03. I haven't used the data loading toolbox before, but I just added it after the upgrade. Unable to use any of them, with the same error message you got.

While I do not claim to know what I'm doing, and I may be way off base, it's my understanding you need to use the Data Loading Toolbox to load data. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-solutions/latest/tool-reference/data-loading/an-overview-of-the-data-loading-toolbox.htm

Awesome Todd. This is exciting news. Is anyone using this yet? We are interested, but I'd love to hear from someone using it or see a demo.
