Hi Claire. At the time this survey was created, we didn't know about repeats. We've since used repeats on subsequent surveys with success, but we haven't had time yet to go back and redesign this survey. It looks like we may have to. I was looking through some of the surveys that users were able to generate with this form this morning, and some of them took up to 18 minutes to generate. I have a feeling that if this survey were redesigned with repeats, this wouldn't happen. Strangely though, this form used to generate reports very quickly.

My organization has a survey which we were previously able to generate reports from but now cannot. We do not receive an error message. The Word report just never generates and stays at 0%. Looking back at the last several reports that generated successfully, it seems that those reports all took around 3 min, 45 sec to generate. I'm guessing that this survey is too long or complicated and needs to be condensed and make better use of repeats. However, I'm not sure that this is the issue. Hi James. I have forwarded this info to many users, but have been unable to get any of them to get this done. I'm still working on it. The problem still persists. In the meantime, has this problem been reported by other users outside of my organization?

Hi. I've been following this conversation, but there have not been any responses on it from ESRI of late: /thread/213592-error-generating-report. Many people in my organization have been receiving this error message when trying to generate reports: Http failure response for https://survey123.arcgis.com/api/reportMerge/_printByWordTemplate/execute: 502 OK". If this error message is received, but we try repeatedly to generate the report, we sometimes, although not always, are able to generate it on subsequent tries. Sometimes it takes quite a few. We originally thought this might be associated with internet speed for users working remotely, but the same thing happens with fast connections. Occasionally, some surveys won't generate at all. This is not restricted to one specific survey. It is happening with many of them. We started experiencing this problem within the last month. Thanks, Chris

Any updates on this? I have forwarded this information to them. Also, I thought it might be important to mention that when one of the users deleted all but one of his photos from his survey, he was able to send it. Not sure if this is coincidence or not.

Update: we're not 100% sure of this, but this problem seems to only be affecting Apple devices; no one using Android has reported the issue yet. Today I received reports from more users using different surveys having the same issue - all Apple users. Chris

Hi James, I asked one of my coworkers that was having the issue to give me more details. Here is her response: “I first tried to submit in an area with moderate (not great, not horrible) LTE reception, and that’s when they failed. The uploads continued to fail even when I connected to wifi at home and restarted the app... I just tried to send it again and I am getting the same error. I think Grayson also tried to send when he was in the field, and one of his went through but the other 2 got the same error I’m getting.” Thanks, Chris

I found quite a few reserved keywords being used in the name column in addition to the two you mentioned. I cross checked them using the conditional formatting, duplicate values function and they have all been changed. However, the problem persists and I'm getting the same error message. The updated xls is attached.
