Good morning! I have a question that somebody hopefully can provide some pointers. In my AGOL map I have a feature that contains a field that has 4 different land use values in it, eg, Agricultural, Industrial, Commercial etc. I was thinking of setting up a when statement so that for when each of these values is true it would assign them a particular RGB color - this would avoid having to create individual expressions in the pop-up window for each value and assigning it a color through the pop-up config. I'm pretty sure I know how to make the when statement, what is throwing me off is how to the color part, I'm assuming I would have to provide some RGB values into. Is this possible to do?

Hi all, I'm a bit late to the show, but I came across this issue myself and wanted to find a way. You could join multiple point data field information to a single polygon, for example join all the cities in a country to the single country polygon. Steps 1) Spatial Join in toolbox Setup as image shows 2) Now the most important part. On the city name field right click > properties > adjust the merge rule from the default 'first' to 'join' and add a delimiter ',' NOTE - make sure the field length will be long enough to take the data (can be increased in same window) 3) This will append all the city names (point data) to the polygon separated by the delimiter we provided. Hope this helps somebody!

Hi all, I wonder if anybody could provide some advice. So I have a feature class in ArcMap desktop (which I want to eventually use in AGOL). If I have two fields in that feature class (one with a generic property appraiser website) and the other other field will hold the unique PID (property id number) for a parcel of land. My feature class encompasses 3 different counties so each row has the initial URL of the appraisers site of that county for that particular feature. Is it possible in AGOL to make a web link that will open by concatenating those two fields together? Do hyperlinks still have to be enabled in that layer in arcmap in order for it to work? If its possible is there anything that i need to be aware of - can the field by a regular string (text) field? Thanks!!

Hi Beth, did something happen to the Zone Lookup app? I noticed on the blog post that it was accessible from 'Create a Web App.' once you share your map on AGOL, but I do not see it in any of the select-able templates? Thanks

Hi Xander Bakker, actually my polygons are coded by the domain I mentioned earlier (unfortunately the screenshot only shows some of the untested (orange) parcels, just for extra 'bells and whistles' I was going to color code the attribute field red for not tested and green for tested on the popup - like i said not a major deal breaker, I just was wondering if it could be done

Hi Xander Bakker, thats ok I understand, thank you for taking your time to respond to my post. My coding capabilities are rather limited shall we say so this isnt a deal breaker for me. My web app was just a basic web app with a feature service that could have the fields updated using the smart editor widget. For one of the fields I have a domain (string values) of 'Not Tested' 'Not Applicable' and 'Tested', I was just thinking it would be nice to be able to color code them within the attribute window.

Xander Bakker Hi Xander, sorry to hijack this post, but I know you are very experienced with pop-up customization in AGOL. I wanted to ask if you knew if it is possible to change the color of fields displayed in a popup when using the popup display setting "A list of field attributes" alot of the customization I see online has all been for a custom attribute display (which isnt ideal for me as I want to make an app where by the fields can be edited). Thanks for any input! Luke

Hi Michael, I got the arcade expression you provide a link for to work great in my web app - thank you! I just wanted to ask how one might go around editing the hyperlink field to something other than the current 'more info' hyperlink. Thanks again!

Hello, Does anyone know if there is a feature count limit for the Info Summary Widget? I have 6000 parcels that I wanted to use it for to summarize on a field. I personally do not think that 6000 features is a huge amount, but the tool seems to crash every time I try it on this amount.if I zoom in close the widget will work fine when its less than 100-200 features. Is this a known issue, is there a limit to the amount of features that should be used? Thanks for any help Luke

Tristan, I'm going to try and create a script for this myself, as my previous approach was very long winded and I'd like to avoid it in the future. Quick question with regards to your script, does it use to bearing distance to line tool in arcmap?

Tristan, Thanks for the pointers, I figured it out in the end (very long winded but seemed to have worked fine given my lack of python skills!) Basically I... - Converted my gravity mains to a route layer (to ensure I get the correct flow direction). - Use basic trig on the sewer tap points using the clock position to get bearing/direction and then from there I created a new point from the original tap point with the clock position bearing and a set default distance (40ft.) calculated into it. After that I just used the create line tool in Arc toolbox to create the lateral from the two points. Trying to learn some python myself, would be interesting to see how this could be done in python? Did you do this with a script?
