Hello @kmsmikrud , This is expected behavior. Layers are not clipped to an extent of an offline area when the area is generated for Field Maps. If a feature bleeds over the boundary the entire feature is brought in. You could clip the beforehand as a workaround. You could also use a sideloaded basemap and preplanned areas to help minimize the download size. Regards, Colin

It may be that you are not zooming in enough to view the available tiles given that they are only available at such a restricted level. Collector and Field Maps do use basemap overzoom where you can zoom in past the available scale level so the room and smaller scales are not always necessary; you just may not have the highest resolution view of the imagery in this case. If you dont want to try another basemap, try making another area with the levels neighborhood-small building, for example. You may have to cut down on your study area as you mentioned. It does appear that something went wrong in the generating of the areas at the scales you selected. Regards, Colin

Hello, Modifying the categories was only me trying to narrow down the potential causes; I have tested both ways and this doesnt seem to make a different. I would like to reproduce this outside of your data but have not been successful so far. At this point I can log something to investigate further but on your end I would recommend contacting Support. They can help you get a bug logged so you have something to track. If you get a bug number please post it back here for reference for others. I hope we can help get this sorted in the near future. Thank you for the details. Its interesting that it works in Collector and not Field Maps. The size of the World_Imagery basemap layer in your screenshot seems suspicious. Typically the size of this layer would be 2-20mb depending on the scale selected. What scale range are you using when creating the areas? I tried setting the same basemap in a test map, created some areas, and all of them download with the basemap. Have you tried another map (you would have to recreate the areas)? Regards, Colin

Hi @AdrianWelsh , What basemap are you using for this Web Map? In the Manage Areas screen, do you see a size for the basemap layer (and what is it)? Sometimes we see this error when you are trying to edit outside the extent of an offline area. Regards, Colin

Thanks, I can reproduce using the map you shared but for some reason still cant reproduce using my own data. A couple things to try: have you tried removing the expression, saving the layer, and then re-adding the expression? I also noticed I have data falling in the "NA" category, can you modify your data so a feature falls in that category? Regards, Colin

Hello, There should be an option to route a case under Field Maps, but if not you can select Online and mention in the notes you are using Field Maps; it should be routed to the correct person. The other option is to call in to create a case. I am curious, do you see the same issue with other map's map areas? Have you tried on Collector? Regards, Colin

Hello, The bug you are referencing is for Collector on Windows, but are you saying you see the same behavior now on Field Maps (iOS/Android)? The noted bug should not have been an issue on Collector iOS or Android and therefore should be working in Field Maps as well. Can you expand on your data structure a bit? What is the cardinality of the relationship? Is the feature layer the parent to all 4 tables? Any other details will help. Thanks! Regards, Colin

Thank you for those details. It is an interesting idea to switch over to GPS to assist. However, Field Maps uses the internal compass hardware only; there is not switchover to GPS. For most Samsung devices, you can access the compass tool only through the edge tools. From the edge tools, you need to add the quick tools Quick Tools panel, this is where the compass is found and where it can be calibrated. I confirmed this on an S9 and Note 10 device. Try checking this way and see if the compass needs to be calibrated. Thanks, Colin
