My field crews would like the information they see on the AGOL maps for point locations to be in degrees minutes seconds instead of decimal degrees. Is there a way to convert these numbers in Collector Table calculate fields or do I need to do calculate the geometry again in the map and export? Decimal degrees are numeric and I have a note that DMS should be in a String field. Please help with formula!

We are gearing up to collect data using our iPads and the same workflow as last year. Field workers have updated some of the locations and I will calculated those locations in my Arc Map project which will be republished as the Service. I would like to know what is the best way to update the existing maps on AGOL to reflect these new locations and still maintain the existing attachments (photos) and other information. I downloaded a FGDB for each project and will update the lat/long fields. Do I republish the feature service and I'm good to go? What about the Append in Update Data on the on the Overview page for the existing data on AGOL? Is this a better way to go? There are several supported file types. Which is best to use if any?

I have a point feature class with latitude and longitude in decimal degrees. I want to calculate the geometry of these fields to degrees, minutes and seconds. I changed the data frame properties display units for the map to DMS but I don't have the option in Calculate Geometry when I right click on the field to convert to DMS. Is it possible or do I need to do the math in an expression to convert?

Christina, This is brilliant! I was exporting my old files from AGOL to a shapefile and then putting them into individual geodatabases but no attachments came with them so now they do! The problem I am having is that I published each individual well run (point files where data is collected twice a year on well locations) as a service. That way each location has a separate map if more than one technician is going out in the field, they have the corresponding maps and feature layers where they will collect data. When I export the previous year’s data from AGOL to a geodatabase, there is only one HFL per map thus it all goes into one GDB with the many elements. I have an additional relationship class I created for an attached table with historic data. See screen shot below. Long weird names associated with the export to FGBD….don’t know if there is anything we can do about that. Do you think it would be possible to combine all to one giant geodatabase? Let me know if you don’t see the screen shot. Siran D. Erysian, M.A., GISP, Research Analyst II – GIS Think Spatially Department of Water Resources 3374 E. Shields Ave, Rm. For Mark: or Christina if you can answer this: I also have the same issue. I have updated my feature layer and then republished it but this new feature does not have the photo attachments that my old hosted feature layer has. I don't understand the Copy Features tool. If this is done in Arc Map (which the illustration shows in Pro and you export the features, how can the features have the same attachments? If I overwrite the service, it creates a new hosted feature layer without the attached photos. I don't have my attachments in a file geodatabase because they are photos taken in the field. I do have them on my computer but I do have to add them all again.

So I can't seem to Enable Attachments to my hosted feature layer is there is an associated table through a relationship class. Have you a solution for this? I really want that historic data in the table for a comparison but not edit that data (Enable attachments IS available for the table). I believe I sent you screen shots via e-mail. If you need them again, let me know.

Julie, So the template doesn’t bring in the domains? I haven’t tried it. Siran D. Erysian, M.A., GISP, Research Analyst II – GIS Think Spatially Department of Water Resources 3374 E. Shields Ave, Rm. A-1, Fresno, CA 93726 (559) 230-3312 Siran.Erysian@water.ca.gov

No, sorry. The previous e-mail I sent had screen shots showing that I do not have those icons available: no camera icon, no attachments “Choose File” option below the editing fields, no ability to click on Enable Attachments in the feature service overview page. Maybe you are not getting my screen captures in the e-mail? Siran D. Erysian, M.A., GISP, Research Analyst II – GIS Think Spatially Department of Water Resources 3374 E. Shields Ave, Rm. Kindly share how to enable attachments in Collector. I usually do that on the map I prepare on AGOL. (see screen shot below) I do not see anywhere to do that or see the camera icon when in edit mode in Collector app. Edit mode on AGOL map = no attachments Cant click on Enable Attachments below to activate in Collector. Must have been a glitch in Pro because now I can see the related records. Window was too small or some other minor. I tried with a couple of different project just to be sure that the links worked and they do. Imported the map from Arc Map to Pro and everything is there.

I am working with Collector, a hosted feature layer with related table. I can't seem to get the Enable Attachments link in the feature layer to engage on the overview page, item details. The Table also has the link to Enable attachments and that seems to be clickable. I need to be able to add photos in the field as an attachment. I don't see the field in Collector for Attachments when I click a point location to edit. Enable offline mode is checked on for the web map. Attachments is checked in Editable layers (Advanced Offline Options). No attachments field.

Joshua, I can click on the asset and see similar to your first screen. But clicking on the arrow next to the asset does not allow me to scroll through the relationships which are in the related table—Rights to Applications.

Relationship classes: I created a relationship class in Arc Map. I added the components to a new map in Pro. Does the information transfer to Pro? I see everything in the geodatabase, I see the properties of the relationship class but I don't see the related table when I click on a feature. Is there something I am not clicking on or missing? This is a M to M relationsihp.
