Thanks, Robert! So, why does it work when you add this in the compiled code then?

Thanks, Robert. I am using the source. Care to point me in the right direction, by chance?

I have, Robert. Nothing has changed. In fact, if I change the query to this, I don't get the error. ADDRESS LIKE '[value]%' OR STREET LIKE '%[value]%' But then I lose the ability to type in "100 Main" and get "100 S Main St". In this case, the user has to type in "100 S Main" to get the desired record. While not a huge issue, it was working flawlessly before the 10.2 upgrade.

Upon upgrading my ArcGIS Server to 10.2 yesterday, I noticed that now one of my search expressions (in the eSearch widget) doesn't work. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed anything like this after upgrading. The SQL query is: ADDRESS LIKE (replace('[value]%',' ','%')) OR STREET LIKE '%[value]%' This query allows one to type in "100 Main", for instance, and get the record for "100 S Main St". After the upgrade, I now get the following error when using this search: [RPC Fault faultString="Unable to complete operation." faultCode="400" faultDetail=""] We're still using the same SQL Native Client (2008 R3) on our server machine, for what it's worth. It's strange because this ceased working right after the upgrade. I wouldn't think changing ArcGIS Server would affect how the query works. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, Sebastian. I actually pieced this together on my own yesterday and was going to post the changes to this thread. But you beat me to it. 🙂

Thanks for the reply, Sebastian. I guess that's what I'm going to have to do. Any idea where to begin?

How do you get basemaps to show up in the basemap switcher on a mobile device? I have two cached basemaps in my app (both same cache schema and spatial reference). If I set useForMobileDevice to true for both in the config.js, then they both draw over the top of each other. If I set one to true and one to false, then only one draws, but neither of them show up in the map switcher window on a mobile device. They do, however, show up on a desktop machine and are switchable as you'd expect. Any ideas?

We are running into issues with our SonicWALL firewall and SQL query statements. The firewall interprets certain queries, such as the ParcelQuery in the TaxParcelViewer, as SQL Injection attacks and stops them. This is/was a known bug (http://www.cvedetails.com/cve/CVE-2012-4949/) that was addressed in 10.1 with a patch (http://support.esri.com/en/downloads/patches-servicepacks/view/productid/66/metaid/1930). The problem is, even after installing the patch, the firewall still flags this traffic. My question to those of you who are using TaxParcelViewer (or similar apps) is, first of all, are you going through a firewall? If so, how are you getting around this? Are there alternatives to query statements that won't cause issues with the firewall?

For future reference, we have determined that our firewall (SonicWALL) is stopping the requests due to what it is interpreting as a SQL Injection attack (http://software.sonicwall.com/applications/ips/index.asp?ev=sig&sigid=5679). We have yet to determine how to address this issue. The vulnerability, affecting ArcGIS 10.1, is documented here. http://www.cvedetails.com/cve/CVE-2012-4949/ Edit: Apparently, this has been fixed with the following patch: http://support.esri.com/en/downloads/patches-servicepacks/view/productid/66/metaid/1930

After doing more testing, I am able to get the search to work outside the firewall IF I search on only one field. For instance: this works: ParcelQuery: "UPPER(PPN) LIKE '%${0}%'", this works: ParcelQuery: "UPPER(SiteAddress) LIKE '%${0}%'", this does not: ParcelQuery: "UPPER(PPN) LIKE '%${0}%' OR UPPER(SiteAddress) LIKE '%${0}%'", Inside the firewall, all of the above work. Thoughts?

I was wondering if anyone would know why my parcel/address search does not work outside our firewall? It works fine internally, whether using a desktop or mobile device. The map services render fine outside our network and I can click on a parcel and it returns the record and everything, but for some reason the search just hangs. We are using a reverse proxy, for what it's worth. Thanks

David, I sent you a PM, but not sure you will see it so I'll post here too. How were you able to add a dynamic service to the application? I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't get anything to display. Would you mind posting your config file, please? Ideally, I'd like to be able to add a dynamic service that doesn't appear in the basemaps list. Thanks, Jay

Thanks for the quick reply, Robert. I forgot to mention that I tried that already. The problem with going that route is that the buttons end up going off the right side of the screen (due to all the historic aerials we have).
