Yes. I get the completed message with no errors. No additional info in the details. After restarting, I double checked the attribute table to make sure the cells weren't populated and were not visible prior to the restart. But they were empty. No selections in the map during calculations. Just a simple Cell1 * Cell2 or Cell1 * 43560. I have not tried adding the feature class to a new project. I do believe I had this same issue in a previous project.

I'm not trying to do anything special. I am either multiplying or dividing two columns in the table. If i restart ArcGIS, I can run the calculation and it populates the cells. I just don't understand why I need to restart the application between each calculation.

The calculate field tool only works once for me. I can run another calculation with no errors, but the field does not populate. I have to restart ArcGIS Pro for it to work again. I would appreciate any insight as to why. The layer is a geodatabase feature class and I am using Python 3 expressions. ArcGIS Pro v2.4.1.

Ok. I loaded th eoriginal shapefile into a different project. Ran CopyFeatures and that turned it into FGDB. Added fields, calculated and it worked.

The table is too big to show all of the fields. The expression is simple: !TotalAssmn! / !Acreage2! I thought I had an idea of what happened so I was doing some testing and it seems to work randomly at this point.

I have the latest version of ArcGIS. Its been at least a week or two since the upgrade. All my work on this project was yesterday. The file is FGDB. No error message. The tool runs and completes with no errors. It just doesn't enter results. My process was like this. I took an existing feature class and ran copy feature class so I could edit it without affecting the original. I then added new fields. After that, I ran calculate field. I did double check to make sure my fields were correct in the new feature. I also checked to make sure I didn't have a single line highlighted. I even restarted ArcGIS several times.

For some reason, when I run the calculate field tool, it doesn't calculate the field. I was having success with this for quite a bit and it suddenly stopped working. I have a feature class that I have added fields to. All are Double and numeric. I take Field A and divide by Field B to enter result in Field C. However, after the calculation is done, the field remains <null>. Any insight would be appreciated. I had total success with this method. However, I buggered my data and needed to start over. I am quite frustrated.

I think you are correct about the file being corrupt. I initially did as you suggested by making my selection and exporting that to a shapefile. Generally, that seems to be a better method for what I want to do. It worked well on 3 selections until I attempted it for one particular town. It selected parcels that did not match the specified clause. I was able to find an old version of the parcels and the selection worked just fine. I'll try to email my county to let them know. Thanks for the insight.

I downloaded parcel information from my county's gis server. I select by attribute for a particular town and then copy to a feature. When I try to perform the same operation for a different town on the original parcel set, the table information is all screwy. Information is missing and the selection is including parcels that do no match the criteria. The criteria is simple. I select one field I want to match and its value. I would appreciate any insight.

Ok. I solved the problem with the rectangles around my icons. I had the viewport marked as visible in CAD.

Export to JPG: When I export to JPG, I get the results I was looking for. The JPGappears the same way my layout looks on screen. Export to PDF: The PDF is pretty good except it is showing small gray rectangles around the icons I created. I made the icons in CAD and saved them to SVG and I believe the rectangles are the outlines of the paper. It's strange that it doesn't show up on screen or in the JPG export. Printing: The results from my printer look like the PDF except the icons on the map are rotated. I did rotate the map 20 degrees in my layout, but why are the icons printing differently than shown on screen? Any insight would be appreciated. ArcGIS v 2.1.3 Windows 10
