Hi Domenico, When ever I am trying to go to rest service through the proxy page and with https connection, its giving 403 error. For example my syntax is https://wsbv7/proxy/proxy.ashx?https://wsbv7/WebGIS/rest/services its will give me the error, but when I try http (non ssl) connection, it does not return any error. The problem going to be is that when we try to get token for the service, we have to use the https connection, which doesn't work. Any thoughts? Thanks,

I am having the same issue, where trying to access the rest service page through proxy.ashx is getting error out saying error 403 Access denied to the proxy page

I am using a token based service and I am passing request using the function below. esri.request({ url: "https://wsbv7/WebGIS/tokens", content: { request: "getToken", username: user, password: password }, handleAs: "text", load: init, error: tokenRequestFailed },{useProxy:false}); no matter what I put for useProxy:true or useProxy:false or completely remove this parameter, I can see the request going through proxy.ashx in firebug and its giving me error "Unable to Load Proxy page" Any idea?

Is there a way to provide username and password in the proxy file for the secure services. So that authorized users don't have to enter login info.

I found the solution. It was the compatibility mode option in IE9 causing the problem.

In my basemap layer labels are created in form of annotation layers. I want to show the Legend without the annotation layers , it looks weird when Annotation layer and a black dot for annotation layers shows up in the legend. Is is possible to declare legend for only specific layers?

Thanks for the article kelly. One thing is still not clear to me is that, if I use the geolocation map point method given in one of the example given on javascript resource center, and if I take my ipad out it the field, is it then going to point to the my current location or is it going to show the network server location?

Does anyone know what is the advantage and disadvantage of making arcgis server application for iOS using JavaScript Compact Build version along with Jquery Mobile development kit and running it on Safari , over making separate iOS application using whole different Flex API and running it as an application in iOS. I have created an webapplication using JavaScript Compact Build and Jquery and this application runs pretty well on Safari(iPad and iPhone) as well as Chrome(on Desktop), so What I am wondering is that, does this method has some disadvantage or limitations? causing people to run behind creating application for iOS.

Hello, Unfortunately I have server 9.3.1, so I cannot use feature layer. Can you please tell me how to exactly use esri.request() in the javascript API, and how can I handle the response. Thanks
