@CathyAppleton I don't know why kudos is disabled (also for me). The status of the idea should not disable it. @JesseCloutier - FYI

@MizukiKayano2 Please change the title of the idea to indicate that those tools should create points when splitting parcel fabric lines. My answer related to using those tools on parcel polygons. As for using the group template in the traverse tool - this is still an open idea and has not been implemented yet. So, there's no need to rush and implement group templates for the Traverse tool.

@MizukiKayano2 The divide tool does create points. The Split tool does not create points for 'inner points" - should it? As for the traverse creating points - isn't this the same as this idea for the ability to use group template in traverse? https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-ideas/traverse-tool-should-populate-cogo-for-multiple/idi-p/1561394

@DianeBaker As a workaround, you can always take data offline and then sync to the branch version. But before that make sure your system is configured properly (map, server, DBMS...). We have a meetup scheduled to discuss it soon.

@DucksInaRiver The workflow to create a traverse that includes calls to natural boundaries (bounds) as well as 'metes' is supported and well documented. The general outline of the workflow would be: Create an active record - all the created features will be associated with the legal record they came from such as a deed or a plat. Assuming the dimensions are in 'ground', set your Ground To Grid correction Enter the boundary lines of the parcel, you can alternate between entering COGO dimensions and digitizing or tracing natural features. In that case you should not have any misclose information and hence no need for any misclose adjustment, as you have stated. Create a Parcel Seed and Build to create a parcel Attribute your parcel At any point you can press the toggle "Show Only Active Record" to only see the feature you are entering. I hope this help There are many videos online and on the parcel fabric community videos that show that.

@LucasBeauchamp The 000952 error is a 'catch all' type of error, making it hard to know the cause. You can try to select a subset of the data and see if it works - that will indicate that this is data specific. FWIW - we had a similar error with the geoeprocessing Import Parcel Fabric Points when importing fixed points. I recommend opening a tech support case so we can have a look into it. Regards Amir

Hello @JasonBessert The Alignment process moves points which in turn modifies lines and polygons. Sometimes, especially with data that has small segments, a point can move in a way that changes the number of parts a polygon has. Think of a 'bow tie' shape. This is data corruption and we've implemented this check to prevent it from happening. The tool compares the number of parts each polygon has before and after the alignment process to make sure it hasn't changed. We usually see this when the data contains very small line segments or points that are very close to each other. You can use the Parcel Layers 'Too Short' or the Geoprocessing tool Find Adjacent Parcel Points to detect those. Another case can occur when a curve diverges to a straight line: sometimes moving the end point can cause the curve to go under the line (when zoomed in). I agree we should improve on communicating where the problem is. If your data is clean of those cases and you are still getting this error the workaround is to either try to use Align Parcels on subsets of the data, until you identify the problematic area, and/or use the Align Feature tool.

@GeoffShort2 You can switch parcel types using the layer dropdown at the top. If you have a layer that has multiple feature template you can switch between the feature templates within the selected feature layer (parcel type). Traverse has changed in that you cannot enter the connection lines from the point of commencement to the point of beginning as well as the boundary lines as part of the same 'traverse'. Instead: Enter connection lines from the point of commencement to the point of beginning (POB) Press New Enter boundary lines from the POB and back to the POB (a closed traverse). @FrankConkling - did you refer to that change in your reply?

@MadisonGIS I would start by adding the parcel fabric to a new map and making sure that the selection works in the new map. If selection works in the new map, we'll know it is map related. You also note that some layers have disappeared. Is it possible that the focus was on the Contents pane when you were 'cutting' and 'pasting' and that instead of copying the features you were actually copy and pasting layers? I presume you've already checked that the layer is selectable in the Content pane. Let us know what you find

@CelinaR You need to be the 'owner' or the sys admin user to make a schema change. Here are the steps to make schema changes for published branch version data. There is nothing unique in that regards with feature classes controlled by the parcel fabric: Go to Server Manager > Parameters and uncheck the 'Lock Database Schema' Option Click save and restart (this is a service level change that requires restarting) Stop the service. Add the new fields or make other changes to the feature class. Start the service again. If you use these fields to symbolize your layers, you can republish the layers with the existing service by using the 'overwrite' option from your existing publication map. This way you will keep any open versions and the edits they contain. Some schema changes do not require to republish the data. It all depends if and how those changes impact the layers you have. You can also consider going to the server manager to re-check the 'Lock Database Schema option' again. Restart the service again
