Hello Taren, Is there an update for this issue? I have just upgraded to PRO 2.8 and the images are still disappearing. This is before any georectification or updating takes place. Basically immediately after resizing, when I move the item to it's approximate location, the image disappears, but the yellow move dot remains. It only reappears after restarting the program. Regarding your suggestions, in 2.8, I am not seeing a "rectify" option OR an "update georeferencing" item. Also, deleting the associated files does not solve the issue.

Would be nice if ESRI would publish tips like the spellcheck suggestion, rather than having people endure the slowness or have to wade through forums to get tidbits of suggestions.

No change in 2.7.0. Wondering if ESRI is spreading itself thin with expanding into new technologies rather than actually improving the "new and improved" workhorses.

Unfortunately they still do not render. I am certain that the label has been enabled in the Labelling tab, and the limits are set to none. Sometimes I have to restart to program several times before the labels finally do render. Any other suggestions? **After experimentation, I noticed what was wrong. My method was to keep the actual polygon item in the 2D layer, and make a copy of the polygon to place in the 3D layer for labeling purposes. I would turn off the polygon stroke in the symbol properties format window so there was not a redundant polygon. But the labels would not render. When I turned back on the polygon stroke, the labels would return. My workaround is to make the color of my 3D polygon layer colorless.

I have a top of the line laptop at my facility. (128 GB RAM, SSD, Intel i9-8950HK CPU @2.9GHz) I save everything locally. And am still bogged down by slowness. Even turning off layers can run into the double digit minutes. Would be nice if ESRI could spend as much time to improve the efficiency of the bread and butter software (PRO) as it does creating new products. Or put out easy to find tutorials on tips for improving performance.

I am packaging a project to a file in PRO. But the packaging is failing. I analyse the project before packaging and it does not turn up any errors. The packaging process runs fine for about 6 minutes and then I get a message "failed to package". The message log says "the database was not found". I am unsure what database the error is referring to so am not sure how to move forward. It's a bit vague. I have gone through all my maps and everything seems in order. Is anyone familiar with this problem and how to move forward? **EDIT** I have tried to "Upload package to Online account" rather than save as a file. I also eliminated layers, one by one, to determine if there was a bad file that impeded the packaging. These did not yield any positive outcomes. I am still getting a failed message.

When I update and save an xlsx sheet, the changes are not reflected in Arc GIS PRO. Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone found a specific method to making the changes reflect? I usually have to turn off PRO and then restart the program for the changes to be reflected. That said, recently I noticed that even turning off the software and restarting that the changes don't reflect in PRO. Please note, I make the change in excel. I save the file. I close Excel. In PRO I remove the old sheet from the Contents pane and refresh the homefile the spreadsheet is in. I also refresh the folder the spreadsheet is in. And I do this in a variety of order. It also seems that just being patient does not work. I have had this problem for many PRO versions and currently am running 2.5.0

Is there a method to write an Arcade expression to allow unique label colors based on different attribute values? This would help to keep from splitting a feature layer into multiple feature layers to have the desired effect, only to have competing labeling rankings between the layers which end up overlapping. I have seen this question posed previously with no positive answers. Generate different label styles/colors based on different attribute value in ArcGIS Online. Custom arcade expression to change the colours of text labels on an ArcGIS Online web map? - Geographic Information Syst…

In PRO, I have annotated my roadsign labels in order to duplicate labels and ensure better placement than the Maplex Label Engine placement provides. Now, I need to resize the symbols as they are too big, as you can see above. Is there a way to resize annotated labels like the one above? Or do I have alter and reannotate (multiple times) before getting the ideal size, number of signs, and best placement?

Hi Jim, I have explored that option. Usually I clip using the snip tool, and the options to save are limited and do not include .emf option. Further, I have explored saving in excel itself and am not sure how to save the table as an .emf. When I save the snipped item in Paint, there is also no .emf option. However, I can save a snip in Powerpoint as an .emf, but the ability to crop the image, or adjust the size of the slide, to only include the desired graphic is a very time consuming process, of which I have not been able to successfully perform as of yet.

Hi Jim, I have attempted inserting an image of the table (.jpg, .png) as a workaround. I do have inserted images on my map, and all colors/elements are properly represented when exporting the map. However, the quality of the imported images become relatively more pixelated and chunky, which is why I was trying to use the method above with respect to the table.
