The issue is with the libs provided in the AAR dependency module not working as expected on x86 lollipop devices. At issue is an arm library is being deployed to an x86 device which Intel runs on x86 devices via Intel Houdini binary translator which allowed your test app to be run on your x86 phone. The Houdini translator does not currently work on Lollipop devices so the app stopped running and requires x86 libs. We are working on updating our AAR lib module to address the issue and get your apps back working again.

Nabeel Adnan This is a known issue with respect to the SDK distribution provided through Bintray maven repository. This fix is already in the 10.2.5 local libraries as Bryant James Lanuza mentioned above. This will be addressed in the next minor release of the Android SDK, 10.2.6, such that you can continue to work with the artifacts through our bintray maven repo.

Alaa Rasheed What version of the SDK were you using orginally? G Sauers We will have a fix for that in the next release, but I am concerned that your app is crashing as the memory issue in 10.2.5 is ~2MB which should not crash your app. I would be interested in more of what your app does to see if we can optimize it in other ways.

The issue I found is that the LocationDisplayManager was not reallocating resources when .stop() was called. This amounted to ~2MB of memory overhead. The bigger issue was that the app would continue to consume memory. We have a fix that reallocates memory back and ensures the app responds to garbage collection of which it did not before. Regarding the Context not being garbage collected, this is because the Context is tied to the MapView whether directly or in relation to it's corresponding layout. The fix will be in the next minor release ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android, v10.2.6.

The referenced Explorer popup component is not part of the ArcGIS Android SDK but rather a custom popup that is not open sourced or provided as a third party library so unfortunately you will not be able to use it at this time. You can however customize a Popup using the ArcGIS Android SDK. We have a sample here to assist and there are many charting libraries available to the Android developer community, Android Arsenal has a good list of them here. Please do share your code so we can assist you in your customizations.

Did you right click your project after importing the sample and select Convert to ArcGIS Android Project? Projects installed through our Eclipse Samples plugin need to be converted to an ArcGIS Android Project to pick up the required libs through the plugin. This is why you are getting a ClassNotFoundException.

To enable the Share As Runtime content menu item Open ArcMap. In the ArcMap main menu, click Customize > ArcMap Options. In the ArcMap Options dialog box, click Sharing. Check the Enable ArcGIS Runtime Tools check box and click OK. If this is not available they you need to upgrade ArcMap. You can learn about creating offline maps here. But as Eric Bader says, what is the error you are getting. And what are you trying to do? The HelloWorld sample loads it's basemap from XML. If you just want to use the Street Map instead of the Topo map as a basemap you can make the following change to the XML file I referenced: // change the following mapoptions.MapType="Topo" // to mapoptions.MapType="Streets"

1. The *.geodatabase file is a Runtime GeoDatabase to be used with Runtime products. *.gdb represents file geodatabases which are not supported in Runtime products. 2. There are two patterns to creating *.geodatabase files 1. Service - programmatic pattern 2. Desktop - create in ArcGIS Desktop, export to Runtime. More information about these patterns can be found here. 3. Transportation Networks (*.tn) are created in ArcGIS Desktop and contain a system of interconnected elements, such as edges (lines) and connecting junctions (points), that represent possible routes from one location to another.

Looks like you ran this sample with the emulator? Specifically the x86 emulator? We have a known issue with respect to using our AAR SDK bundle with x86 emulators. From our release notes: > x86 native *.so files bundled in AAR do not work on android stock x86 > emulator. They do work on device. If you need to test on x86 emulator then you > need to should not use the AAR bundle and instead add all the libs manually. You can either create an ARM based emulator or use a physical device. If you must use an x86 emulator than you need to set up your app manually

You are correct that the Eclipse plugin was deprecated at 10.2.4 and removed from the product in 10.2.5. Please keep in mind that we are not dropping support for Eclipse IDE itself, only our custom Eclipse plugin. Please refer to the following blog post for more context to the document Eric Bader referenced.
