I changed the extension of the file from .json to .geojson and it worked as predicted. The file was organized as a geojson. I initially believed the tool would read the content of either and respond appropriately to what it found. That was not the case.

I imported a GeoJSON using JSON to Features (AGP 2.3.2). Unfortunately there's no option to select the geometry type through the GP dialog box. When I reviewed the documentation for the python code example, I saw that "geometry_type" can convert "POLYLINE". However, according to RFC7946 Section 3.1.4 there is no Polyline type that GeoJSON recognizes. LineString appears to be the equivalent. As I stepped through the geometry types, seeing if the python snippet would convert the appropriate geometry, I confirmed that it isn't seeing the "LineString" geometry. Specifying Polyline doesn't search for LineString. Another odd thing I noticed is the tool seemed to "lock on" to a geometry type. I was using the same python arcpy.JSONToFeatures_conversion(r"C:\Users\gmarcus\Downloads\Testing (4).json","TestJSONImportPyPolygon", 'POLYGON') and arcpy.JSONToFeatures_conversion(r"C:\Users\gmarcus\Downloads\Testing (4).json","TestJSONImportPyPoint", 'POINT') but only points were converted. This didn't happen when I first ran the GP tool from the dialog box (converted to polygon by default) It didn't happen when I ran the python command and first selected polygon. It only occurred after I ran the python command and selected point. It's stuck on point now. Restarting the program results in the same behavior. Questions: Has anyone run into this before? Did you submit a bug request?

I created a mosaic dataset and am using the unique values renderer. I applied a color ramp, but changed a few values to "No Color". I then exported my colormap and imported it for other mosaic datasets. I was surprised to see that the raster values set to "No Color" had a color assigned when I applied the colormap to another dataset. Given that there are only 3 values (R, G, B) for each line, is it possible to assign the "No Color" value? If not, it seems to be a shortfall. How do others accomplish this? For some reason, saving the first mosaic as a layer and importing the layer in the symbology pane results in an error. "Failed to display the raster layer as Unique Values" even though it is set for Unique Values already.

I should say I _still_ can't clone the Py environment, but my home machine gives me a different error message than my work machine. What work around is there for 2.3.2? Probably? I completed the routine I posted above to delete whatever was causing the issue. I deleted a few other folders that tech support said probably didn't make a difference. I basically wiped out anything that said ArcGIS Pro on it (and possibly some stuff from 10.5.1 that looked pro-y). Uninstalling the Data Op extension was one of the things I did. I didn't start with the squeaky clean prep. I did a "repair", then an uninstall and reinstall first, and I could tell there was "something" that was left behind and gumming things up. I didn't uninstall Data Interop the first few times I uninstalled Pro. The last time, I did and it was successful. I can't say if it was Data Interop, but it might have been. Maybe it was the chicken sacrifice? All I know is, I'm going to wait a month after 2.3 patch 2 comes out and buy another chicken.

That sounds like the same issue I was experiencing. I uninstalled everything in Pro and reinstalled Data Interop, but went back to running 2.1.3. Everything's working (that I use) with this version. Tech support wanted me to create a new windows login to see if that was part of it, but I didn't get to that step .

I'm curious if this was fixed in your environment. I'm using 3.2 at home and 2.1.3 at work. It seems that when I export, the file isn't set to WGS84/4326. I've opened a case on this.

I'm thinking about nuking it from orbit...it's the only way to be sure. Is there a list somewhere of any known conflicts or issues with other software? My computer does exceed specs, I am working with new projects and relatively small data sets. I'm in a large corp environment, so unfortunately I'm stuck with the virus protection brand we use but I have flexibility in other areas.

That's why I put the "squeaky" in front of clean, Dan! If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to include them. I've always found your advice to be very helpful. Copy/paste from the tech support directions that I followed: In order to remove all traces of ArcGIS Pro from a system you can do the following: Attempt to uninstall ArcGIS Pro from the Control Panel. If you can't do this, or it doesn't work, then proceed to Step 2. Ensure that all ArcGIS Pro processes are not running in the Task Manager. These are usually the following: ArcGISCleanup.exe ArcGISPro.exe Rename/Delete the following files if they still exist: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ESRI\ArcGISPro and any other Pro folders C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\ArcGISPro C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu\Programs\ArcGIS\ArcGIS Pro Rename/Delete the following registry keys if they exist: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ESRI\ArcGIS Online For Pro Reboot the system, and attempt to run the Install of ArcGIS Pro. This should allow you to install the software as new I also deleted all keys under "ArcGISPro"

Maybe too vague of a title. I upgraded to 2.3 because I was excited at some of the cool features. Unfortunately the following GP tools just sit and spin... Pairwise intersect Intersect Clip Spatial Join [probably more to be added here as I do other work] This behavior is new with 2.3. I did a squeaky clean install of 2.3 after I noticed issues with the upgrade. When I click run..the tool displays "running..." but no messages are displayed and after a half hour to intersect a few polygons and about 100 points there's still no progress. Clicking stop doesn't stop the tool. It just says "Canceling..." and sits there. Clicking the window close X doesn't close the program. I must go into task manager to kill it.

That was well written, Kory, and funny. Who has access to the dump reports? I'm exchanging email with tech support over a case and I need to send them the dmp report, though it's attached to the crash report. Seems redundant...

Doesn't matter what directory I choose. It still fails. I tried again and chose a directory in C:\ where I keep most of my data. Like the other attempts at creating it in the appdata space, it fails. I leaves these 3 directories behind. Is there an error log it writes to?
