Marcus, I don't see a domain called ProcessCode in either database? Are these different databases than the one you are getting this error on?

Marcus, Can you send over a screen shot of the Domains View in Pro? I'd like to see what it looks like for this feature class. Information on how to access this below: Introduction to attribute domains—Geodatabases | ArcGIS Desktop Jonathan

Marcos, Is ProcessCode an active domain in this geodatabase? We've seen this same error in Pro when a domain was deleted in an improper way. The resolution there was to use the Remove Domain from Field tool to manually remove it (which takes the references out of the system tables). Remove Domain From Field—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop But if it should be there (because you are using it on other fields), then we need to figure out why Pro thinks there is a domain associated with this field when there isn't. Just out of curiosity, if you were to enter a value that did fall within that domain, does it accept it? Jonathan

Hi Marcos, Sorry you are having this issue with editing in Pro 2.3 but thanks for bringing it up. I've got some questions here for you that will help us determine what's going on: Are you working with data from an Enterprise geodatabase, File geodatabase, Portal layers? Are there domains setup in the feature class/layer that you are attempting to edit? I know there are no domains assigned to the field you are attempting to edit but are there domains in existence at all? Any advanced functionality at play here? Topology, geometric networks, etc? Do you get the same error in ArcMap? I presume you did not get this error in Pro before upgrading to 2.3? If you could attach some screen shots of the error and maybe what the attribute table / layer properties look like, that may help as well. Jonathan

Hi Maggie, As Michael alluded to, you'll need to use ArcMap to edit your Geometric Network. The feature classes that participate in a Geometric Network are not editable in ArcGIS Pro. If you have access to the Utility Network Management Extension and this is something that makes sense to deploy in your environment, then that may be an option. Otherwise, you'll need to continue using ArcMap to edit this data. Jonathan

Hi Elisa, I don't believe the same Version Changes functionality exists for Branch Versioning. If you need to see changes between a child version and the Default version that are not conflicting, you'll need to view those changes in the map view or the attribute table in Pro. Branch versioning does define conflicts at the row level by default which should give more conflicts to review. Edits to the same row or feature will cause a conflict. Conflicts are also resolved in favor of the edit version. I searched the ArcGIS Ideas site to see if this idea had been posted yet. I was not able to find one. I'd suggest you create a new idea for this if you need the functionality. That site is actively reviewed by our Development teams when deciding on new functionality to add to the software. https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas Jonathan

Hi Jason, OK, thanks for letting us know. Would you be able to log a case with Technical Support on this (888-377-4575)? If this is related to a 2.3 problem, we need a record of it through a support case. They can troubleshoot the issue and, either fix it if this is specific to your install, or log a bug if this is specific to a general 2.3 issue. Thanks! Jonathan

You certainly could try a repair of the software if you wanted before contacting them. It is worth a shot. I'm a little concerned that you are crashing but not getting crash dump files logged. A good reason to get Support involved though.

Hi Sean, If all these issues are happening on the same install of Pro 2.3, I'd say, yes, please contact Technical Support and log a case with us. There could be a general issue here or it may be something specific to your install. Either way, it would help to have a record of it. Jonathan

Hi Deena, Edit - I see from the screen shot that Sequential Number is not available on your end. What tool is this? I just picked the Calculate Field tool as a test and I see all the helpers (including Sequential Number) towards the bottom. Double clicking on one will populate the Code Block. Jonathan

Hi Jason, That update was most likely the 10.7 ArcGIS Coordinate Systems Data update. It's fairly large as far as updates go, 985 MB. I'm not aware of any patches or other updates out for 2.3 yet. That being said, this update shouldn't cause an otherwise perfectly functioning ArcGIS Pro client to gridlock. It doesn't take up that much space in the install directory. You might take a look at Task Manager when you open existing projects and see what's there. Do the performance issues not occur when using new projects after the update? Jonathan

David, Yes, you can rebuild the indexes from the SQL Server side if you like. We have the tools in place on our end to do it and we'd prefer users use those tools when possible. But in this case, if we can get the indexes rebuilt on the database side and then run the Rebuild Indexes tool again from ArcGIS to confirm it works as expected, that would be OK. Jonathan

David, It sounds like you may be running this via a Python script. Is the behavior any different if you run the Rebuild Indexes tool directly from Pro? What about ArcMap? I'm curious if there are a whole lot of indexes that need rebuilding and it is bogging down somewhere. But not sure how often this is run and how many edits have been made since the last time. Well that's good news! The article you linked is specific to Pro so if that resolved your issues then I wouldn't say this same behavior will be seen in ArcMap.

Thanks for the information Jamie. So, just to be clear, even when you get the message asking about sending an error report, there is no crash dump file logged in the location I mentioned earlier? That message is typically a hallmark that we've generated a file for that crash.
