I am trying to troubleshoot a connection issue to a WMS service, and I would like to sue FIDDLER to examine the communication traffic between Pro and the WMS host. In ArcGIS Desktop I do not have to do anything, however, in Pro there must be some settings that are required because I cannot see any traffic coming from Pro. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings all, this is a brilliant idea. In fact, I have a customer that is asking for this exact functionality, with the added capability of being able to "archive" individual items. I second that this would be a welcome addition to the archiving capabilities.

Greetings Marika, Many thanks for the response. That is exactly what I wanted to know. I think you are also correct about the connection problem. I can replicate the behaviour myself by turning off the internet connection on my laptop and then attempting to create a new Survey. It just seats there, hanged, with the spinning searching message. I have gone back to the person who is having the issue and suggested to check with their IT if there is anything that could be blocking their access to external servers. So you have answered my original question which has to do with the compatibility with Excel 2007, and also confirm that it would work with other spreadsheet software. Derek explained that the integration would not be as seamless as with Excel 2013 and above, but, as long as users are aware of the limitations, I don't think that is a problem. Many thanks again.

Greetings Derek, Many thanks for the response. I have checked with a colleague from Esri UK, and she has been able to run Survey123 Connect with Excel 2007 at a customer site. Since what seems to be happening, as I am able to tell from the screen capture posted, is that Connect is attempting to contact a server, to retrieve information on the Templates and Samples. Is it possible that blocked communication to said server could be making Connect hang, and not necessarily Excel 2007?

Greetings Bruce, Many thanks for the clarification. I thought that would be the case, but I just wanted to make sure, given that it isn't explicitly documented. I have raised a support case already. The WFS is publicly available from the data.gov.uk website. Here is the page from that site to the service in question. I have also tried to access the WFS using FME 2016.1 Esri Edition, and have been somewhat successful accessing individual layers, but not multiple ones, not even two. Just out of curiosity, do you know in which version of Pro will the capability to create Interoperability connections become available? Many thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.

Greetings Marco, Thank you for your comment. What I was trying to ascertain is not whether there is a function that allows the transformation of a feature layer in a WFS service, to a FC in an FGDB, but whether is was possible to connect to a WFS by means of the Data Interoperability Extension for Pro, as one would do in ArcGIS Desktop. The documentation for Pro on the subject, seems to have been cut and pasted from the ArcGIS Desktop help. Not very helpful. Oh, and by the way, I can confirm your experience; I tried converting a layer from a WFS using the WFS to FC in Pro, and even though the procedure manages to show the available layers in the WFS, it fails when attempting the conversion. The service I was attempting to convert is sourced by GeoServer. Many thanks again.

Greetings All, I have just installed the Data Interoperability extension for ArcGIS Pro. Does anyone know how do I create an Interoperability connection so that I can connect to a WFS? I thought this would be similar to ArcGIS Desktop, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Also, I have not been able to find documentation on how to perform interoperability connections either, so if anyone could just point me in the right direction, that would be fantastic. Many thanks in advance.

Greetings Derek, Many thanks for the quick response. OK, I will try to upgrade to Excel 2013. I did look through the documentation and system requirements, but I did not find anywhere that a certain version of Excel was required. If anything, I thought that maybe Excel 2010, but not 2013 and above. If this is already documented, would you please point me to the mention of it please? Otherwise, I would recommend that the supported spreadsheet software is added in the list of requirements for Survey123 Connect. Another query that I have then is, are there any other alternatives to Excel 2013, such a Open Office, Zoho Sheet, etc., and if so, which versions of these? Many thanks in advance.

Greetings all, I'm trying to use Survey123 Connect for the first time. When I click on New Survey, I get the New Survey form, but nothing else happens. Searching just spins incessantly as shown below I am using Windows 7 and Excel 2007. Any help to get this going will be greatly appreciated.

Closer scrutiny has revelled that, my server installation was actually 10.4, and not 10.4.1. I must have clicked the wrong install file, given that both 10.4 and 10.4.1 coexisted in the same directory location. So the learning points here: The WA identifies correctly when it is being register with a version that does not correspond to it.

Greetings all, I have just installed ArcGIS for Server 10.4.1 (workgroup) on a clean, new VM (W2012R2), All is working well. A certificate has been installed And all's well. I can publish and consume services without an issue. I have installed the ArcGIS WebAdaptor 10.4.1 (WA) on the same machine. Called it Obi (after my Habaneese), and using https. When it comes time to register the WA with Server, I am getting the following error: Has anyone experienced this issue? I have installed the WA since 10.3.1, and 10.4, a few times, but never had this issue. I have tried, uninstalling/reinstalling, make sure I have all the necessary IIS requirements, etc. Nothing seems to be amiss. Thanks in advance for any input.

Greetings Chris, REST endpoints seem normal, but the services do not display anything. They are literally "blank". In ArcMap I can see the service in the TOC, but no legend, and no features, so your second assertion is correct.

I have various map services that I have created from Desktop (all is 10.3.1) all services were created successfully, without errors/warnings during the Analyze phase, and the message "published successfully" crowding every try. However, when I add the services to desktop, or when I check them via the JavaScript link, via their REST Endpoints, nothing displays. Has anyone ever seen something similar?

Greetings Jake, I am having the same issue as Paula. However, I have noticed that the issue is intermittent. I am also working on downloading a Feature service that contains attachments. Basically, the FS supports a Collector implementation, so it can have multiple images per point feature. I have been able to download the Feature service twice in the past (before the July update). The resulting FGDB was shy of 2GB. Today I have tried again, twice, and both occasions I did get the same error message as Paula, "Error updating file item". This happened roughly about 10 minutes after starting the Export process. Could this issue be related to the number of credits remaining? Unfortunately, I am only a Publisher in the organisation I am attempting to download the data from, so do not know how many credits remain. But surely this should not have any bearing since I do believe that there is no charge for exporting to FGDB. Anyway, I will try the script and see how I get on, and report my findings.
