I'm currently using the Home button on JS API 4.0 Beta2. I don't see any behavior like that. It appears to be working as intended. However you said that your Home widget is utilized with other widgets and maybe that the problem. I am using a few other controls, like basemap toggle, search widget and a few others and the home button still seems fine. If you provide a snippet, maybe we can spot something wierd.

I found a TOC solution for JS API 3.x. It works great, however when I upgraded to Esri JS API 4.0beta1 (now on JS API 4.0beta2) it broke. The TOC doesn't support JS API 4.x new version; so I'm simply looking for a new TOC solution using ESRI's new JS API 4.x version. Thanks for your reply!

ArcGIS JS API 4.0beta is new so I'm not looking for a full solution but a starting solution to a route I can take. Of course, unless there is a full solution for a table of contents with selectable layers. I know third party support libraries are coming, so maybe I just need a little patience. Thanks for Reading! btw - i did ask this same question for the js api 3.14 version and received lots of good solutions.

I'm using JS API Dojo AMD's require function (one require function that drive everything). The function is expanding more and more with each control that I add. I don't want this becoming uncontrollable and getting out-of-hand. Any good manageable way to handle something like this? I'm by no means an expert JS developer. Any help is appreciated.

After much trying... I found that this data can be accessed through the stream layer "on" event by way of event return handler then using the graphics object of the stream layer. This took some work for being a newbie.

Javascript API The stream layer is working as expected. I created an Info Template that displays a pop-up information window when the point was clicked on. So I can see the raw data fields inside the info template pop-up window. But I'm trying to access the raw data fields from within my javascript code. Can anyone provide a snippet of how this is done?

I actually need the same solution. However I'm approaching this differently. Can you confirm if my method will work? I am exposing a proxy server externally that will simply route streaming GPS data internally to the input connector of the GeoEvent process. Since this applicaion will only used internal to our network it not required to expose the Stream Service to the outsode world. Its my streaming data is coming from an external source.

Thanks for the explanation. To accomplish what you need must be performed in the GeoEvent Manager on the Outputs section. By adding an Output connector, you can Publish your Stream Service and configure it. You must click the Publish Stream Service button after providing a Service Name. This will create your stream service url. As long as you provide a URL to the Related Feature as well. Once I Published the Stream Service everything fell into place. Create your Input Connector and the GeoEvent Processor to assist with what your trying to accomplish. About your screenshot, I can't tell if you're in the GeoEvent Manager or the ArcGIS Manager section.

Can you provide more information about your problem? I understand the Stream Service is an output connector with a few configuration parameters; and the URL to the Stream Service needs to published to your ArcGIS server as a Stream Server, so that it shows up as an URL like your map services. You can access the output from the Stream Server URL the same way you use the other map service URLs. I have a working Stream Service URL but I'm using the javascript api to consume the stream server url.

Has anyone used HTML5's local storage to improve the map rendering? Mainly when panning, there's a 2 or 3 second period when the map is blank then re-draws itself. I'll search the forum and see what I come up with in the meantime.

The TOC method that I chose was the AGSTOC. It's a great tool and I actually got it to work. I'm on my way. Thanks for all the input and feedback.

I don't have an answer for you. But I am interested to hear how you made the http calls. Did you send JSON to the ArcGIS server or SOAP? Another question is, Did you manually build a process to view maps, features and search tools or just dumped it into an XAML page? Just curious how you pulled this off.

I'm developing a Table of Content to turn on\off layers on map using javascript \ dojo-AMD sdk. I found a few places on the internet that shows ways. Nothing that is making complete sense to a newbie. Has anyone done this in a way that makes sense?
