So I tested the workflow where I had a skier symbol from the ESRI US Forestry 1 font (*.ttf). Saved the *.aprx, exited Pro, started Pro, and loaded the *.aprx just to clear out anything. I selected the symbol in the Contents Pane, this opened the Symbology Pane. Clicked the Properties tab and the Layers tab. Then I clicked Font...and in the Choose a character pane, it listed the unicode for the skier as 44. So it "seems" ArcGIS Pro does mirror the ArcMap workflow where it goes right to the symbol and that font. Or am I missing a step here?

You're almost there! Say for an existing symbol that I wish to change via Font/Unicode, I clicked on Font like you highlighted, for the Font dropdown selected US Forestry 1. When you click on a symbol it will provide you te Unicode value or you can type in a unicode value and then the cursor "jumps" to that symbol. See below: ChooseCharacter.JPG

Whenever I see strange behavior like this, I recommend doing a soft factory reset. You can follow the steps listed here. Once the reset is complete, open your *.aprx and try the Select by Attributes workflow again.

So a couple things that could be causing this behavior: 1. BUG-000140485 - Duplicate folders are created when saving a project name containing a comma to a file location that is also named with a comma. 2. Esri Community Posts that reference this: Solved: Geodatabse 'ghost' feature dataset and feature lay... - Esri Community and Solved: Feature Datasets and Classes Appear Twice in Catal... - Esri Community Hope this helps!

So there was an enhancement request, ENH-000140298 - Add a method to the arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject() object that will close the project and release locks held by a script. But it was marked as "will not be addressed." The explanation was "Locks on a project file can be eliminated by either closing the Python shell (vs the script editor) or by calling del on the appropriate variables. The method has little value when run in a script outside of the application and also inside the application."

I'm thinking that because MS Excel files are read-only in ArcGIS Pro that likely there are some other nuances, like copy/paste, that will not work. What you could do is use the Export Table GP tool and export the Excel table to a geodatabase table. Then try to do the copy/paste workflow again.

Hi @MalloryOrr - so I would recommend you move the file geodatabase to your server (i.e. file share), then follow the workflow seen here to update the data sources of your *.aprx. Once the data paths are repointed to the new directory structure and the *.aprx is saved, you "should" no longer see the broken data links you currently see.

If you're working with a file geodatabase, it would have a *.gdb extension that can be viewed via File Explorer on a Windows PC. Plus you would see that same extension in the ArcGIS Pro Catalog Pane too. If you're working with an Enterprise geodatabase, it's hosted as a SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL relational database requiring additional licensing and more.

Good morning @TomGeo - I did check into the BUG-000133433 status and it is marked as "will not be addressed." I'm not sure why that is the current status of the bug as I work as an Instructor in Esri Training Services rather than the Support Services side of the house. I did look into other customer support cases to see if there was a workaround for the bug and found this statement - "When I added the rasters from your OrthoTiles folder to the mosaic (using the Add Rasters to Mosaic Dataset tool), I tried checking the "Calculate Statistics" under the "Raster Processing" tab. This allowed me to directly use the Color Balance Mosaic Dataset tool without calculating statistics first and it ran successfully. This might also work on your end." Not sure if this will work or not for you but worth a try. I would recommend reaching out to Esri Support Services to see if there is a more current workaround and/or add your customer number to the bug report.

Interesting...so when I see strange behavior like this, I always recommend a soft reset of ArcGIS Pro. You can see how to do this in the steps listed here. Once the reset is complete does the strange behavior persist?

Certainly! There is an ArcMap Support article that discusses how to extract a single band from a raster. You can access it here. I would imagine ArcGIS Pro has the same GP tools to run as in ArcMap.

This appears to be BUG-000160687 - "The Train Deep Learning Model tool returns the following error message, "IndexError: index 0 is out of bounds for axis 0 with size 0." when there is a space character in the Classname field attributes of the training sample feature class." If you open the attribute table of the rooftops layer, under the Classname field, notice the attributes contains a space character - (i.e. roof top)

GREAT! Okay, next step. Here is my Data Source and Raster Properties below. I'm thinking you're working with a raster dataset that has more than 1-band. That's why you're seeing RGB, Stretch and Vector symbology options. RasterProperties.JPG
