Good afternoon Lauralee! So I examined the help documentation back to ArcGIS Pro 3.2 and the pages say that the datasets must be registered with the geodatabase. So I don't think there's been a change recently in the code. There's a great blog article here that discusses the Generate Schema Report GP tool. I see that you found the Esri Community Data Management page that discusses this as well and asked Jonathan for the information referenced in your response here. I'd be curious to hear what Jonathan says.

There's an ENH-000162334 - "Add a way to turn on/ off layers in the Contents pane listed per feature dataset" that's listed "In Product Plan." Additionally, the enhancement request says: "In ArcMap when using the Table of Contents, List by data source option the users can turn on/off all the layers inside of a Feature Dataset. It would be really useful if that option gets added to ArcGIS Pro. When a Feature dataset contains a lot of layers it is really useful to see that option. Additionally, there’s no way to see feature dataset groups in the ArcGIS Pro Contents pane yet."

Hello there! I was hopeful that a clean uninstall/reinstall would resolve this issue. There are some registry items you can rename that sets ArcGIS Pro back to factory settings. You can learn about it here.

Interesting. So if this works in other ArcGIS Pro clients and not the one you're on/using, then "maybe" it's missing something certainly. You could do a clean uninstall and clean install of ArcGIS Pro 3.4 and then upgrade to the latest software update of 3.4.3 to see if the problem continues.

With regard to documenting this problem and providing a solution, likely this would need to be created by Esri Support Services staff. I did a cursory search of existing Knowledge Base articles and did not find any with search terms of index create join - With regard to the tool help page item - if you go to the bottom right of the webpage, there is a button click - "Feedback on this topic" one can provide feedback to the help authors to investigate and improve. Lastly and maybe related, there is BUG-000128476 - Creating a join does not work if the key field’s type is a short integer. Not sure if this is related to what the OP is experiencing.

I looked at the internals and I do not see an existing BUG report on this workflow. I'd recommend you contact Esri Support Services to create this bug report with them. Agree - this is a pretty big bug in the S/W.

One thing I would try is remove the Snap Raster parameter and run the tool again. Does the resulting polygon still offset to the north? Also, is the source raster an integer raster?

As Dan posted, you can review the build numbers for various releases of ArcGIS Pro and see a trend. 3.5 - ??? 3.4 - November 7, 2024 3.3 - May 7, 2024 3.2 - November 7, 2023 3.1 - February 23, 2023 3.0 - June 23, 2022 2.9 - November 11, 2021 I cannot state publicly but if I had to provide an educated guess based upon this trend, ArcGIS Pro 3.5 will likely be available before the 2025 International Users Conference so customers can use the release for a period of time before the UC and attend with questions at the ready.

Thank you for the link! So in my ArcGIS Pro, the Vector Tile Service works as expected - see attached. To add this service, I went to the Map tab and in the Layer group, clicked the drop down for the Add Data button and clicked From Path... In the UI for Add Data from Path, I copied and pasted the URL provided to me - https://cdn.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/0df19d2d940b47658857cc2fc9623840/resources/styles/root.json - and the layer drew as expected. I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.4.x

So I tested this workflow and I "think" it will get you where you need to be. 1. Add a new field (Float or Double) called SUM_AREA or whatever you'd prefer to call it. 2. Calculate geometry of the new SUM_AREA field to get the square area of each polygon. 3. Add a second new field (Short) called ID or whatever you'd prefer to call it. 4. Select all the polygons that touch or intersect with each other and calculate the ID field with1, 2, 3, 4, etc. 5. Run the Pairwise Dissolve GP tool with the Dissolve Field being ID and the Statistics Field being the SUM_AREA field with SUM as the statistic type. 6. A new feature class is created with total sum by ID areas. I believe this will give you the output you're looking for. Let me know if you have additional questions!

In ArcGIS Pro, the output from geocoding addresses is typically a point feature class. The geocoding process matches addresses to geographic coordinates and represents them as points on a map. If you need to work with polygons, you might consider using other tools or workflows to convert point data to polygon data, depending on your specific requirements.

You may want to try the Snap (Editing) geoprocessing tool on a copy of your data to see if it accomplishes what you want to do. Or you can build a geodatabase topology with the rule "must not dangle". After validation, you will find all the lines that fall outside of the cluster tolerance. The ones that fall in the cluster tolerance will snap to the nearest vertex or line.
