Another source is the USDA Geospatial Data Gateway at https://gdg.sc.egov.usda.gov/ Search by State, then County. From there, download NAIP imagery for use locally on your computer.

Gabriel - I'd recommend the following two items to resolve this issue. - Rename the ESRI folder to ESRI_old in the registry editor location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ESRI (To open the registry, type 'regedit' in the search window in the start menu.) - Rename the ESRI folder to ESRI_old in windows explorer. (C:\Users\UsrProfile\AppData\Roaming\ESRI) Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

Hello Marc - I tested the Copy Features GP tool for selected points and lines. It worked as expected - only created a new feature class for selected features. I'm running ArcGIS Pro 1.1 (BETA) so perhaps that's why I'm seeing different results???

Matthew - I'd recommend updating the driver for your video card. Once you determine the make and model of the card, go directly to the manufacturers website to download the driver. Simply using Windows Update does not download the latest driver. Once you install the newest driver, the crashes should be greatly reduced. Second thing you can do is delete the C:\Users\<user profile>\appdata\local\esri folder. Let me know how it works out. Regards, Robert LeClair Esri-Denver

Two options to assist with ArcGIS Pro crashing: Delete C:\Users\<profile>\appdata\local\esri if there are performance issues. Go to the manufacturers website for your video card and download the latest driver. Windows Update will not do this although it says it does. Hope this helps. Regards, Robert LeClair Esri-Denver

ArcGIS Pro 1.1 will have the a new SDK for .NET coming soon. The blog posting is at: ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Blog Guessing here - but I would "think" the ability to customize Pro at 1.1 and higher releases will enable this functionality. At 1.0, I don't see a way to do it.

Another option to share it is via a Web Feature Layer or Web Map that is published from ArcGIS Pro.

One resolution to Pro crashes to go to the manufacturer's website for your video/graphics card and update the driver directly from them. Simply using a Windows Update procedure will not work. Once the latest driver is installed, then a lot of Pro crashes/instability is removed.

Graeme - correct. If maintenance lapses or is not renewed, then the use of ArcGIS Pro is not available. But your ArcMap/ArcCatalog licenses remain at their last maintained release. As far as software costs, that's a question for our sales team as well as the executive team - well above my pay grade.

You are correct that ArcGIS for Desktop (not including ArcGIS Pro) are perpetual licenses. If you discontinue maintenance, then a user can continue to use ArcGIS for Desktop (i.e. ArcMap, ArcCatalog, etc.) without future upgrades. ArcGIS Pro uses a new licensing model that is subscription based. As long as user is current on maintenance, they may continue to use ArcGIS Pro. Many software companies moved to the subscription based licensing model a while ago. With ArcGIS Pro, Esri uses this model. It is a paradigm shift from perpetual licenses certainly. As to the why's of changing the licensing model, I'd had to defer to the ArcGIS Pro team as I'm an ArcGIS Pro Instructor for Esri. Hope this clarifies the question.
