The basemap will project on the fly.  What ArcMap is attempting to resolve is how to the geographic coordinate systems of the two layers.  One is WGS 1984 and the other is NAD83. Transformations apply math to resolve the differences.  So I'd recommend you click the Transformations button.  Then in the next window, there is a dropdown menu on the bottom of the UI to pick a transformation method.  For 99% of the users, the first one in the list is appropriate.  Then click OK on that window followed by Close on the other.  ArcMap will then resolve the transformation error and draw your layers correctly. ... So the basemaps are in WGS1984 Web Mercator as their coordinate system.  Typically in ArcMap, there is no coordinate system defined for a new dataframe. The first layer (raster or vector) that's added defines the coordinate system for the data frame.  If you add a basemap 2nd, then it projects on the fly to match the coordinate system of the data frame.  That's the warning message you're now seeing.  So you're ultimately transforming the basemap to your data. ... I found this bit of code on the Microsoft Community page that should work in the Field Calculator using VBScript: Assuming there is no space character in the data: Replace( LTRIM(Replace( fieldName, "0", " ")), " ", "0")   The part in bold replace all zeros by spaces, and then, left-trim that result, ie, remove starting spaces. So I think what's happening here is sometime in the past the "Don't warn me again ever" box was checked on your old installation of ArcMap 10.4 Basic.  When you upgraded to ArcMap 10.6 Standard, this check setting was restored to factory settings to warn you about geographic transformations.  To your question about how to fix geographic transformations from here on out, please review to this document. ... Hi Mark - to make the ALIAS permanent to the GDB level rather than the Field Level, in the Fields Designer click the dropdown to the right of the Current Layer and select Data Source.  Make all your ALIAS changes and then click save.  Your ALIAS updates will now persist at the GDB level. ... Hi Gina - is the dataset referencing a web layer in Portal by chance?  One workaround is to use the "Feature Class to Feature Class" GP tool to create a geodatabase feature class. Once the feature class is in the geodatabase, you should be able to edit with that domain in that geodatabase. ... View more

In many cases, whenever there is a new update to ArcGIS, whether the Desktop/Enterprise/etc., we do list on the Help pages what BUGS have been fixed at that release.  ArcGIS Pro uses a different model in the sense the Development Team plans for 2-3 releases a year.  When there is an update then the application can download/install the update.  Those updates/fixes are listed.  I can't speak for MyEsri or the how's/whys things are done the way they are but we do try to get the word out as best as we can.  And assist with GeoNet questions on a regular basis. ... AGP uses a rapid release cycle whereas ArcGIS 10.7 does not.  The AGP Team tries to get out 2-3 releases per year while the ArcGIS components are less frequent than that.  AGP 2.3 dropped January 24, 2019.  I'm not sure when ArcGIS 10.7 will be released hence the pre-release label. ... View more

If all your broken data links point to the same geodatabase or same folder of shapefiles, yes.  Click on the Red Exclamation point for the layer in the Contents Pane and AGP will reconnect all the layers. ... View more

Not sure why that's the case - you may want to contact Esri Support Services for that.  Question - is AGP already installed on your computer?  If so, the next time you start it and it's not at the current release, you'll get a notification that the application has been updated.  The only time this would not appear is if notifications have been turned off in the application properties. ...
