I am working on an addin where all data editing in Pro is done through custom forms. We want to display attribute tables but they need to be read-only. The plan therefore is to hide the out-of-the-box Attribute Table functionality and build a custom panel which will display attribute tables using multiple TableControls. We have tested TableControlSample from community samples and it does what we want. The data, both from enterprise and file geodatabases, cannot be edited in the TableControl. That said, the control comes from the Editing namespace which makes us wonder if editing is possible under certain scenarios.   Does TableControl always present a read-only view of feature layer or table attributes? If it does allow editing what are the conditions, and is there a way to always prevent editing? Thanks! ... View more

Is there a quick way to convert a Pro Addin to a Pro Configuration? I would like to modify an existing addin project instead of creating a new configuration project and copying addin files to it. I have added a configuration module to the addin project (with splash screen and other pages set to null) and referenced it in config.daml. I have built a custom Pro tool which allows to click the map twice to define a rotation angle and apply it to features with a symbology rotation field. I would like to enable snapping when the tool is activated, the same way the out-of-the-box Measure tool works. Is there an event that is raised when a feature layer "selectable" status changes in a Pro map? Or is there perhaps a more general event which fires when any layer property changes? I have a custom panel with a list box that allows to control selectable status for a predefined set of layers, and this list needs to be in sync with the default "List by Selection" in Pro TOC. Thanks. ... I have created a Pro addin and a button which creates a feature class in a file geodatabase and then writes features into it. The features are created with a callback as per https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk/wiki/ProSnippets-Geodatabase#creating-a-feature. All the geoprocessing calls are using the GPExecuteToolFlags.None flag so no output is being added to the map. The code runs successfully but no features are written into the feature class. When I close Pro, I get the "Do you want to save the edits?" prompt, and if I click Yes, the features do appear in the feature class. It looks like the edits are being added to the Pro edit stack. Should this be happening when I am using the callback to create features? How can I have the edits saved automatically? Thanks. ... View more
