With more an more data being served up through Map and Feature Services is there a way to server up the full metadata? Without attribute and other metadata found at the feature class level there is really no way to know what you're getting. How are others handling this or am I missing something?

I created a Pro project in 3.2 on a network drive. There is a toolbox and a folder in it that I don't want others to see but I can't remove them. Both show "Remove From Project" as being grayed out. Seems so basic but it remains grayed out even after restoring Pro and rebooting. I had originally added two toolboxes to the project but it let me remove one of them. Also, the project is one I created and in a network folder that I have all permissions to.

Is there a reason you're not updating the target schema to match the source feature class? That's the best solution.

The site shows 3 different download formats, Excel 2007, CSV and shapefile. Which are you downloading? It works fine for me using Windows Explorer to unzip the zip files. We need more information and some screenshots. One reason that data might not show is if it was added to a folder after Pro initially displaced the contents of that folder in that session. In this case just refresh on the folder. If the ZIP files aren't unzipping that's a totally different issue.

At my work the problem delay isn't with file geodatabase but with SQL database connections. So I hope that that's fixed too.

Wow, we have an ELA and concurrent licenses. We have over 400 users who log into Pro over the course of a year but maybe only 45 core users. Without a developer to create some simple targeted web applications those users still need Pro now and then. I think it could be a big win for QGIS.

You might consider creating an archive file geodatabase and convert it to a feature class. Add some metadata about where it was originally stored so that you can restore it later if necessary. If you already have multiple copies elsewhere just ignore what I wrote.

My upper management is "suggesting" moving away from SQL Server Enterprise Databases to PostgreSQL when me move to the cloud. Does ESRI, or anyone else, have migration suggestions written up or FAQs? Thanks

Here's an example of all the code you need to display the current license manager results in a web page. On the License Server enable IIS, install python, put this script under the C:\inetpub\wwwroot area, make some simple IIS configurations and make sure your network folks do whatever it is they do give access. I've got a more advanced one but this is all you need. Using this method, all you GIS users need is a web browser to view current license manager results. import os, sys, string
import subprocess
import datetime as dt
import re
timestamp = dt.datetime.now()
webPageTemplatePath = r'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LicenseUsageViewer'
lmStatCmd = [webPageTemplatePath + '\lmutil.exe','lmstat', '-a', '-c', '27000@XXXXXXXXX']
print ("Content-Type: text/html\n\n") # html markup follows
print '<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Flexlm License Manager Utility</TITLE></HEAD>'
print '<center><H2>ESRI License Manager Status</H2></center><pre>'
print '<b>Time Stamp {} <br></b>'.format(timestamp)
proc = subprocess.Popen(lmStatCmd,
stdout = subprocess.PIPE,
stderr = subprocess.PIPE,
stdin = subprocess.PIPE,
shell = True)
proc.stdin.close()
stdoutData = proc.communicate()[0]
stdoutData = stdoutData.replace('\n', ' ')
stdoutData = re.sub(r'<', '_', stdoutData)
print stdoutData
print '</body></html>'

You could activate the web server on your VM running the license manager. Then a simple script that runs the lmutil.exe lmstat -a -c 27000@servername with some print statements to wrapped around it to render the output as HTML. Using the url link to the script users can see the results of the lmutil command on demand. You should be able to write this in your choice of scripting languages.

FYI, I recently installed the ODBC 18 driver for SQL Server and that broke ArcMap's ability to connect to our SQL Server SDE databases. Had to uninstall the driver to get it ArcMap working again. ArcMap will never be able to work with ODBC 18 since ArcMap no longer gets updates.

Agreed. Personally, my old eyes can't handle laptop screens so I have a QHD 32" monitor that I just love. Makes for great screenshots of Pro menus and such.
