I have recently come across this same issue. Is there a workaround? I found a post from 2018 that said it was a known issue but that Esri was working on fix.

The best luck I've had working with Sketchup models is exporting as KMZ files. It ends up being a DAE also but you should see the textures. Give that a try and report back.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Adding this to the query string - whether it is analyze or result works ?filter=(0.objectid%20isGreaterThan%200)

I have a few surveys where the data is not loading when I click Analyze results. I get only a blank screen. I have set permissions of the survey results below to Everyone https://arcg.is/1vCzGv0 There are 433 records. I can view the information through the Data tab, but see nothing under Analyze. I am seeing this behavior on a several surveys.

@Anonymous User I create tables that have the paths, the base file name, texture width, texture height, and flags and naming conventions for all the other channels (normals, metallic, etc...). It makes the rule easy to reuse with little to no updates if I add textures to my library.

I discovered today that fileSearch and fileRandom will not return a result if there is a space in the path. For example print(fileRandom(/Project Name/*.*)) will not work but print(fileRandom(/DifferentProjectName/*.*)) does. I renamed my project but it broke a ton of references in other places. Is there a way to get around this limitation? or chr(32)...something like that?

Brian - this is good work. I have similar files that do similar things and have used the recent ability of reading .CSV files to reduce the repetitive coding. You can get the best and more predictable results when you set up your projections early in your rule, before you start splitting your shapes into floors, windows, etc...

You can call your Generate rule from your Lot. I think the cleanest way to would be to put it on top and I would give it a more distinct/memorable name. The code below should work and will scatter 100 trees. Lot --> InsertTrees primitiveQuad(1920,1080) comp(f) {top:alignScopeToAxes(y) SATimage | all: NIL} SATimage--> texture("images/Satellite Imagery/Test Test/sattest.png") InsertTrees--> scatter(surface, 100, uniform){PlantTree} PlantTree--> i(Tree)

Its the not the projects - its the workspaces. I've moved to a workflow that keeps the workspaces local and the projects in cloud storage, but with this approach they aren't backed up.

agree with this 100%. Would be very nice to code into predefined styles.

Being able to make Layers Transparent - like the shapes - would be very helpful for tracing over top of terrain and aerial imagery. Suppose an alternative would be to have the option to have the map layers visible while in Wireframe mode.

Yeah exactly. Maybe eyedropper brush applies the rule and all attributes, but holding down shift or control limits to just the rule itself. Or vice versa.

I sync my workspace to OneDrive and simply opening and closing a project or scene triggers a sync of hundreds of files - and that's just when I open the file. If I make any edits or a save it feels like there are exponentially more modified files.

Just to add a little Cheryl's answer...what gets spit out is in square meters, so you'll need to convert it with a multiplier. You can multiply in place but I'd suggest you get in the habit of using constants. I have a mini library I copy and paste to start every rule I write. const sqm2acres = 0.000247105 #square meters to acres
Lot -->
report("Area", geometry.area * sqm2acres)
X.
