The USD exporter is able to export terrain layers, you might need to select it in the Scene Editor. Also see the "Terrain Layers" export option.

You should be able to use our standard USD exporter, then you can upload these files to Nucleus and reference them in your Omniverse scenes.

The crash can also happen with the current beta if the permissions on the server folder are too narrow. The 1.0 release will be robust against insufficient folder permissions on nucleus. I'm literally right now building a pre-release and will test it in collaboration with Nvidia in the next few days. I expect to be released within the next two weeks or so. Best, Simon

I'm sorry, in my first response, I confused the Trial download of CityEngine 2021.1 with the currently open beta of CityEngine 2022.0. Apologies for the confusion. I'll ask internally about the status of the trial. In the meantime, you might actually consider trying out CityEngine 2022.0 Beta at our beta portal: https://earlyadopter.esri.com

Hi, I just verified that the download of the 2022.0 Beta installer starts (I used Firefox, if it matters). Do you have any special network settings or apps running? Best, Simon

Hi, sorry about your troubles. This could be a known bug in the current beta: Please make sure that on the Nucleus server the destination path "/Users/CityEngine" actually exists (might need manual creation). Note, this has already been fixed in the soon to be released version 1.0 of the connector.

The CityEngine team is happy to announce the release of PyPRT 1.5, a maintenance update which adds support for the latest CGA features from CityEngine 2021.1 (and PRT/CE SDK 2.6). https://github.com/Esri/pyprt/releases/tag/v1.5.0 Happy Python hacking 😉

Hi, thanks for your interest in Omniverse and feedback! Does it work for a single building from a single layer? Also, make sure the /Users/CityEngine directory does exist in the Omniverse server!

Apologies for the late answer. CityEngine SDK can indeed only operate on faces. A workaround is to export the street shapes generated by CityEngine as OBJ (or Collada or FBX) and then use these files as input to your CE SDK based app. I hope this works for you & kind regards, Simon

Hi Abhishek, the -Xmx switch controls how much main memory is reserved for the CityEngine UI (the rest will be used by the generated models and batch export). This switch has nothing to do with the GPU. Your operating system and/or GPU vendor should provide tools to control how the GPU uses memory. Hope this helps, Simon

Hi Javier, allow me to add a few technical details: prt4cmd uses prt::InitialShapeBuilder::resolveGeometry to read the initial shape geometry. resolveGeometry in turn can only read formats which have a decoder available in PRT. relevant decoders in PRT 1.10.4198 are: - obj - dae (collada) - fbx full list: https://esri.github.io/esri-cityengine-sdk/html/esri_prt_codecs.html#aDecoders Best, Simon
