Can you post more details about the URLs involved? Are you making cross-domain requests? Are you loading the app over http, but then making https requests? etc. You can also use a tool like HttpFox to see if any requests for /crossdomain.xml are failing.

You can add fields to the Graphics attributes. e.g. For each graphic in your driveTimeA Array, you can call graphic.attributes.CNTYIDFP = "foo";

You can iterate over the Graphics in the FeatureSet and read their attributes. Here's a code sample: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/samples/index.html?sample=ShowPointsWithinMapExtent

ArcGIS Server 10 now returns domain information as part of the fields and types. See the status field: http://sampleserver3.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/SanFrancisco/311Incidents/MapServer/0 This is supported in the API by getting the LayerDetails and looking at the fields and types: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/apiref/com/esri/ags/layers/supportClasses/LayerDetails.html You can get LayerDetails in multiple ways. See the See Also links in the AS Doc. One link that's missing there is to FeatureLayer.layerDetails.

Yes, the attribute inspector works with all geometry types. Can you use a tool like Charles Proxy or HttpFox to see what the request was that gave the error?

It's would be similar to this sample, except your params object would be something like below... http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/samples/index.html?sample=GP_DriveTimePolygons
var params:Object =
{
"Input_stops": featureSet1,
"Input_Barriers": featureSet2
};

You can just add the UIComponent returned by createSwatch() to a container to view a representation of the symbol.

You could call http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/apiref/com/esri/ags/symbols/Symbol.html#createSwatch() or pass the ByteArray to the Flex Image component as it's source.

Sounds like you're using the Sample Viewer source code in which case you'll need to change your project settings to use Flex SDK 3.5 instead of 4.X.

This seems to be a new Flash Player 10.1 bug that only happens in IE. If a custom cursor is being shown, and you right click, then the system cursor is supposed to be shown, but in FP 10.1 it isn't, so you're left with no cursors. This is happening for 1.x apps too. I've submitted this bug to Adobe at https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-26818 A workaround is to set the wmode to opaque, but only for IE since Chrome will show both cursors otherwise. e.g. In the html template add this after params.allowfullscreen = "true";
if (swfobject.ua.ie && swfobject.ua.win) // http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/api
{
params.wmode = "opaque"; // workaround for cursor issue - https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-26818
}
