We did have a case in MVC where the layer was missing if the domain was mapserver but that was addressed in Feb release of Online this year. Currently this is not possible in Map Viewer OOTB. We do not expose the attribute connection to define a primitive override like this. This is something we are looking into doing but currently not a near term project. Currently binning is static so the aggregation boundary does not change as you zoom in or out. We do not expose a scale threshold yet in the Map Viewer but we do have plans on bringing that in next year.   ... View more

Just double checked - It is there but limited to Online hosted services at the 11.1 release which was the limit in the Online MV release during that time. I believe the expanded support for Ent hosted will be in the 11.2 release.  ... View more

That group layer is just at the web map level. In Map Viewer you can drag other layers into or out of the group. You can also use the overflow action on layers (including group layers) to create new groups or move.   ... View more
