Not sure if this would be helpful. Have you tried to create a spatial view for the data and then access it via a map service. you can use the layer definition to achieve the filtering you require. Usually, if somebody is talking about huge quantity of data, I would start thinking bigdata as an option, but then again, the volume and efforts has to be balanced. Any RDBMS now a days can handle hundreds of thousands of data. But, DB doesn't seems to be an issue for you. I am wondering why or what use would it be to display so much of points all at the same time. wouldn't it just clutter the map. cant you filter it or convert it to heatmap or something?

lang.hitch is used to change the context of the method. for example, you have method in side your widget/ module and you want to use those methods within the event execution/ or arrayUtils.forEach. such methods or events change the context of the function, you may not be able to get access to your method or variable. In your case I don't see the need for lang.hitch as you are not using any object/function which is not accessible globally. About your problem, what exactly do you mean by "locking"?

you have made a typo error it is not esriQuery.where = "SUPPORTID =='" + supportId + "'"; it should be query.where....

This error is usually related to extra or missing comma within the module. Hope this helps.

${NAME} is used for substitution. You could directly use evt.graphic.attributes["NAME"].

That shouldn't matter. All you need to do is merge the array items which your are passing it to the dataStore.

Hello Robert, I am aware the js api does not have such functionality currently. But, isnt there a way to achieve this without having to use GP service. some sort of calculation or sort. Surely somebody would have needed or implemented this functionality.

I am creating a web application, using javascript api and the requirement is to get a point on the line based on certain distance. If you have worked with ArcObject, then you would have used the QueryPoint method in IPolyline. Does anybody know how this can be achieved in javascript api. Thanks in advance.
