Hi Zachary, thank you for posting this idea! I'd like to make sure we fully capture your request here - Are you using a standalone ArcGIS Server, or is your server federated with an ArcGIS Enterprise portal? If you are using an ArcGIS Enterprise portal, there is quite a bit of structure around content management that makes item ownership easy to manage. For example, it is possible to see the owner of each service, and it is possible to change ownership easily. Owner information can be seen in the Item Description page for any content, like this: Some documentation on how to do this in the Enterprise portal is here.

Thank you for sharing this feedback, John! Helping to understand how feature binning does not meet your needs is equally valuable, so I appreciate this perspective. Thanks as well for providing those additional resources to illustrate point clustering. To provide a bit more context, one key aspect of feature binning is that it's done server-side, instead of being a client-side operation through an API, or through the Map Viewer. Given this fact, I do believe we have at least partially implemented the idea as originally stated. That being said, other ideas on improving client-side clustering behaviors like you mention are definitely worth attention and continued exploration.

Hello Bernie Connors, with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1, we introduced a capability called feature binning which clusters nearby points into dynamic polygons, and is a service-side property supported with map services published from ArcGIS Pro 2.4 and later. Below is an animation of this feature, taken from the doc: For some further reading on how to implement feature binning with your point data, check out the following documentation and blog links: Aggregate features into bins—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation Introduction to Dynamic Feature Binning in ArcGIS Pro With this new capability, does this satisfy your requirements? Feel free to share any additional feedback and let us know if this works for you. Also tagging Kevin Sayer, Karen Robine, and John Dye who commented on this - We're happy to hear your feedback as well.

Posting an update to this thread to let our users know that the latest (October 2019) update to ArcGIS Online has introduced a great new option called Replace Layer, which is a fast and efficient way to update your hosted vector tile layers. For more information and examples of the workflow, I highly recommend checking out the following blog: Update hosted vector tile layer content using Replace Layer

Hi Ben, You can do some validation in the Portal Administrator's directory, by running the Validate Servers operation. Here's some documentation on this: Validate Servers—ArcGIS REST API: Administer your portal | ArcGIS for Developers The workflow to do this, in a nutshell, is: Go to your Portal Admin endpoint (The URL is typically: https://<your portal URL>/arcgis/portaladmin) Click on "Federation" Click on "Servers" Click on "Validate" This does a series of validation checks for your deployment, and will return any issues if encountered. Furthermore, you may wish to go into ArcGIS Server Manager and validate your ArcGIS Data Store from there. The link to the workflow on this can be found here: Register your data with ArcGIS Server using Server Manager—Manage data | ArcGIS Enterprise That installation time which you experienced is definitely out of the ordinary! I'm not sure what could have caused this in your environment, but I do recommend running the above validation checks to make sure everything was installed correctly. Following those validation checks, doing some tasks such as publishing a test hosted feature layer will also help to ensure that everything is working correctly.

Hi Ben, There are log files found in the C:\ProgramData folder on the computer where you ran the ArcGIS Enterprise Builder - There may be some messages in there that can give some insight. Based on the issue you're running into, my suggestion is to check and see whether there are any ports in-use which are used by the ArcGIS Data Store, which could be preventing this step from completing. See the following resource for an overview of the ports used by the Data Store: Ports used by ArcGIS Data Store—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise You may be running into an issue where some of the necessary ports are in use and may need to be opened. I hope this helps!

Hello Ahmad, We have some recent workflows available which may be helpful options for you - They don't exactly address the request being asked (being able to batch-publish .mxds from a folder in ArcCatalog), but represent more modern approaches to this. First up is bulk publishing with ArcGIS Enterprise. This workflow allows you to add a data store item to your Enterprise portal, and easily publish the content from your data store in bulk. Some more information about this can also be seen here: What’s new in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 Next, I encourage you to explore options when publishing to your server/Enterprise through ArcGIS Pro. When using ArcGIS Pro, it is possible to share a web map which automatically publishes the underlying layers as services - This is a more robust workflow than what was previously achievable through ArcMap, and you may want to explore this further. I hope this helps!

Hi Erica, The Attachment Viewer app sorts feature attachments based on the order in which they were added to the feature. There currently isn't a way to do further sorting to feature attachments, but I will pass this feedback along and I also encourage voting on following Idea which is asking for this: https://community.esri.com/ideas/10311 Thank you for your feedback!

Hi Paul, Thank you for this information - I looked into the case and hopefully have some good news to share. As of 10.7, we have indeed downgraded log code 207075 ("The federated server does not have an ArcGIS Data Store registered as a managed database and cannot be set as a hosting server.") from a WARNING to an INFO-level log entry. At this time, the other log codes you identified above (217060 and 217064) have still been deemed most-appropriate at the WARNING-level, and would be best handled through improved filtering options like ENH-000118377 and this idea are requesting. While this is not completely addressing your concerns, I hope that the downgrade of 207075 can assist with your monitoring if you choose to upgrade to 10.7 or higher. I'd still like to understand if there are any other log codes that you are running into which you believe would be best downgraded from their current severity level, so please feel free to continue sharing them with us. Thank you again!

The Attachment Viewer configurable app has just been released, which provides a configurable template for viewing feature attachments, namely photos and videos. For those who are tracking this idea, please take a look at this configurable app to see if it can meet your needs: Attachment Viewer. We look forward to hearing any feedback on this!
