That worked. Thank you. Darren - try sending the invitation again. The account, heatonc_UW_GEOG, has been deleted so the process should be successful this time. Deleting precreated users will delete them from ArcGIS Online. However, this capability wasn't exposed in the website until the December update. Thanks, Chris

xxxxx_xx_xxxx This account may have been created and then removed before we moved to enterprise logins. Does deleting "pre-established" ArcGIS logins from our organization remove them globally from ArcGIS online? Can you give us the username you're having trouble with? Thanks, Mike

I have resent the invite multiple times. I even had her try on my workstation on a "clean" browser. Every time she initiates the invite this clears her from the Pending Members list. So I have to start again with a completely new invite. Perhaps the invitation expired? From the Pending Members list, did you try resending the invitation? Mike

For an organization account using enterprise login, I have a user who is unable accept an invite. She keeps getting a message stating "Invalid User, Unable to validate user xxxxx". I checked the SAML coming from our identity provider and it states that her credentials were valid. Other invitees have not had this issue. Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue? Could the ESRI assigned username (xxxxx_orgname) be already taken?

No. Thanks for the answer. For others, more info can be found on the Managing portal connections from ArcGIS for Desktop help page. Hi Darren, You can set your organization url as the Portal in the ArcGIS Desktop Administrator, on the Advanced tab. Did you already do this? Thanks, Andrew

Is it possible, via Desktop, to sign in to an ArcGIS Online organizational account using an enterprise login? I would like our users to be able to publish to our organizational account via ArcMap. I have been unable to find an option that would direct Desktop to our identity providers (IP) login page. (For a user not using our IP, the "My Hosted Services" folder correctly joins to our organizational account.)

How does one do it within ArcMap 10.2? I don't get the option to chose my login provider. Hi Kasper, Currently ArcMap and Esri Maps for Office support Enterprise Logins. Updates are coming for the other apps that will allow you to use Enterprise Logins. Cheers, Andrew

One example (there are others) - select exists(Select table_name From information_schema.tables Where Table_Name = 'sde_logfiles' and table_schema = 'test') Some context - This is a new installation and we are trying to resolve issues that users are experiencing. Distinguishing between noise and valid errors is a step by step process. When you have over 70 connections and each producing this same error, it seems valid to wish for the noise not to be present. We are using the default log settings. Thanks!

Here is a partial answer to my own question. The missing tables are created, to quote ArcGIS Help, "in the schema of the connecting user the first time the user makes a selection that exceeds the selection threshold. For ArcGIS for Desktop, this threshold is 100 records." So why does ArcCatlog try to do a Select when the tables have not been created (or if the user has no schema)?

Does anyone know why I am getting the following error in PostgreSQL for active ArcCatalog connections: 2013-11-04 11:10:49 PST ERROR relation "test.sde_logfiles" does not exist at character 174 2013-11-04 11:10:49 PST STATEMENT SELECT logfile_name, logfile_id, logfile_data_id, registration_id, flags, session_tag, column_name, logfile_data_db, logfile_data_owner, logfile_data_table FROM test.sde_logfiles WHERE flags%2 = 0 Occurs for users with and without schemas. That is not the issue. I can enable and disable the PostGIS extension without any problems. The function is called when a connection is opened in ArcCatalog. Its very repeatable. The error is not reported if I enable the PostGIS extension. It seems like a redundant call made by ArcGIS. At worse it should at least check if the PostGIS extension is enabled before calling the function. No, PostGIS is not necessary, but if it's available, it would be an option. It's more likely that you have a partial PostGIS install in the template database, and that's what's causing these errors. - V

Why is ArcCatalog calling a PostGIS function in an ESRI Geodatabase? Our PostgreSQL log is covered with the following error - 2013-11-01 19:38:26 PDT ERROR function public.postgis_lib_version() does not exist at character 8 2013-11-01 19:38:26 PDT HINT No function matches the given name and argument types. You might need to add explicit type casts. Do I have to enable the PostGIS extension for an ESRI Geodatabase? If so, why? I am running ArcGIS 10.2. Geodatabase is 10.2 too. Thanks!

For ArcGIS Server 10.2 on Red Hat, I found the webadaptor.config in the following folder - /opt/tomcat/.webadaptor/arcgis/webadaptor.config The folder /opt/tomcat is the home folder for the tomcat user, under which the tomcat service runs. For context, my Tomcat ArcGIS classes folder is found here - /opt/tomcat/apache-tomcat-7.0.42/webapps/arcgis/WEB-INF/classes A simple find located the file - find / -name webadaptor.config
