Hi Scott -- Once a layer has data in it, you can't change if a field is required or not, nor can you add a new, required field (as all the existing data wouldn't have values and honor that). You will need to create a new layer and migrate your existing data into it.

Hi Andy -- Using a sideloaded TPK during download isn't supported at this time. Once you've downloaded the map, then you can use the sideloaded TPK. You might find this information useful: Can I use basemaps copied (sideloaded) to the device?

Thanks for clarifying, Bryan! In this case, you can't use hosted feature layer views. Why do you want to limit the reference data to the extent of the project?

Hi Brian -- Only the owner of a hosted feature layer can create a hosted feature layer view from the original layer, so unless you happen to own the layer in Living Atlas that you are using, it won't be an option for you. What of the original layer are you trying to bring to Collector?

Hi Jordan -- When you are downloading a map, the basemap used in the map is downloaded as the default basemap. However, you can copy a TPK to your device and then use it with the downloaded map. You might find this information useful: Can I use basemaps copied (sideloaded) to the device?

OK I played with a few things. I assume your URL is on a note type field in your survey? The parameters work if you use a concat in the calculation field to create them. I made a survey that has a field named bmpid, and I added a field of type note with label "Click here:" and the following calculation: concat('<a href="arcgis-collector://?itemID=70a0e5a40cfa4cf0ad09b337284328f1¢er=34.0547155,-117.1961714&featureSourceURL=https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/ServiceRequest/FeatureServer/0&featureAttributes=%7B%22requestid%22:',${bmpid},',%22name%22:%22Frank%22,%22requestdate%22:1502917218285%7D">Launch Collector</a>') (this is using the sample URL from the Collector help, but modifying one of the parameters to using the bmpid value from the form). It seems to be working for me, although I have noticed that you have to type in a bmpid value and then unselect that field before clicking the link to get that value passed to Collector (otherwise, the previous value of the field is passed).

Hi Dakota -- Looks like your URL is missing the "featureSourceURL" parameter to specify what the URL is for. For example: arcgis-collector://?itemID=0539f9d42f314b0587e5e5cd82587a5e&featureSourceURL=https://services9.arcgis.com/oYDccLD4RNQkDAu8/arcgis/rest/services/BMP_Collection_WFL1/FeatureServer/1 Next, to get it to pass a parameter, you'll just need to add the featureAttributes parameter (keep in mind the attribute values need to be URL encoded). You can see Deploy your map—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS for more about the Collector URL scheme, and some examples.

Hi James -- What version of ArcGIS Pro are you using? To create required fields requires Pro 2.1 or later. Otherwise, you'll need to run a script (collector-tools/ResetRequiredFields.md at master · Esri/collector-tools · GitHub) on your hosted feature layer. See Get the essential information from your field workforce using Collector for ArcGIS.
