Not sure that I understand your need for raster output. The cross validation is based on the sample locations. A GA layer can be converted to raster if you want a fixed cell size. -Steve

Marilyn That location, for that time of year, will only receive circa 6*149=894 minutes of sunshine. If start time = 0 and end time = 24, then t0 will be sun rise and t1 will be sunrise + 6 minutes. Regards -Steve

Matthew I'd be cautious of smoothing the contour lines (i.e the output). We rather recommend smoothing the input raster as explained in the Contour documentation. Or, you could delete the short contours as Dan Patterson suggests. -Steve

The output raster type (integer or float) is dictated by the input field type, in your case HYDGRP_NUM. What is the size of the output raster, i.e. how many rows and columns does it have?

No, it'll be fixed in 2.7. BTW, another work around, if you change your output from fgdb to .tif it works as expected.

...if your mask is a point feature class, then the output raster will only have values that coincide with the point locations (from the mask). That is why the legend had correct values. Likewise for polylines.

your groundwater levels can be converted to height above mean sea-level or depth below the well casing (negative amounts) and these values will be used in the interpolation.

Jay We need some additional info, please - what version of ArcGIS? - what does different mean, maybe a difference raster (between with boundary and without boundary)? - did you keep the cell size the same between with boundary and without boundary interpolation? - what are your TopoToRaster parameters? - screen shot of your input data including the boundary outline - what is you ultimate goal with this exercise? -Steve
