robert i just was trying to configure a new query using your latest version. when i go build the expression and ask for unique values the dropdown never populates. the queries i built previously still work. i have tryed a couple different layers with the same result. any ideas how to track the issue down. ... hi Jordon, I am not an expert at this either, but i too run the WAB in the https:// world the reason i do is because it is living in the WWWROOT on my IIS server. Portal is on this box too and is setup with HTTPS of course (in the portal security tab i have both anonymous and SSL only checked) i have had no issues really with this security setup. the only thing i have to make sure of is that my mapservices all start with https, not http. my webadapter that accesses the mapservices is also setup to use https and the IIS location where the downloaded WAB will live is also HTTPS. ... Robert, many months ago now you helped me with code to alter the background color for the widget icons. i have redoing this in the new 1.3 version and it is working fine except for the headercontroller style.css file. this is the path i am working with stemapp\themes\FoldableTheme\widgets\HeaderController\css\style.css what i did in the older version was alter the opacity from .6 to .8 but i must have done something else as well (which i didnt make a note of) because the header bar color is Black in the old one. in the new version the bar is dark gray, which is ok, but i am curious about how i would change the color if wanted to. thanks for the steps. i see you are not using the esri upgrade commandline tool but just manually reconfiguring the apps you have built. have you tried the tool? i have some alterations to the esri widget that i could like to keep and i was thinking the upgrade tool was the best way to hold onto them without having to manually redo them. ... Tapas, i love how you document everything. perhaps when Robert sorts out what is wrong with the esearch widget you could document the steps required to upgrade webappbuilder to the new version and the steps you took to upgrade an existing webappbuilder app to the new version. Robert mentioned using the command line update tool referenced in the esri help but in reading your posts it looks like you are doing a bit more than that. ... View more

Robert, the combination of date range and value still is failing for me. i just tryed this sql in the rest and it returned values. however if i run it in the esearch i get the 'search failed' message box. i have pasted in an image of what i see with the F12 key in IE. cl2 < .2 and UTC_DATE between timestamp '2015-11-01 00:00:00' and timestamp '2015-12-03 00:00:00' ... Robert, i may have found a bug i built a query with a date range and a variable. like this date between value1 and value2 and item 'no greater than' .2 i am getting no results and a box saying search failed ! if i build the query with just the date or just the item it works fine. ... View more

i will recheck my data on monday to be sure. your workaround makes me wonder. kind of hard to mess up an index. you don't have one that is built to not accept nulls do you? i did that once and the field had nulls. it was an issue. ... View more
