Robert, I have noticed that the boxes where I type in my valves seem to be too small. in other words the text is only half visible. but when I click on the box and type I can see all the letters. have you noticed this? is it my screen resolution and/or is the an easy way to expand the box? ... thanks for clarifying. I realize all this takes time and care. I love what  you are doing. I also am wondering about this: the default esri query tool retains the different queries. this is nice as I can then do more than one selection and see the results in the attributes lists it appears that your tool presently clears the previous query when a new one is run. is there a switch somewhere that can be set to retain the queries until manually cleared? ... Robert, this is wonderful. thank you again. I love the unique dropdowns and the predefined dropdowns. I do have three questions- in the default esri query when the expression is configured there is a 'results tab' where it is possible to set the symbol specific to that query. are you planning on adding that feature? and you have box called 'definition expression' I am unclear about what this box is for. it doesn't seem to be required. hi Robert I was reading this thread and realized I have been loading your widget incorrectly. I have been placing the code in the server\apps\5\widgets folder and manually adding a location for the icon in the server\apps\5\ config.json file. could you please detail the correct process. also I see in the \client\stemapp\sample-configs and \test-configs  many optional files. have you experimented with any of these? and/or know of any documentation regarding what they do? and there are a few widgets in the \client\stemapp\widgets\samplewidgets folder. again, have you any experience with these or know how to enable them so they can be explored? thanks again for all your hard work to build a truly useful query tool. Robert, I have discovered that the esri query widget DOES show the selected set as an operational layer until the 'clear results' is clicked. I am guessing that they changed the code again on you. your version does add the set to the layer list and the attribute table works but the symbol doesn't show once the results widget window is closed. (it does persist as long as I have the widget gui open) this is different from esri the widget where I can close the popup with the results listed. and one other difference with the esri query after you click clear results the new layer in the layer list goes away. in yours it remains so the clear results isn't quite working either. hope you don't mind me sending you this stuff. you likely already know. ...
