Thanks Brian It appears to be attempting to publish to the Tax Parcel publishing feature class, this tools is designed to publish the Community Parcels feature service and not the Tax Parcel publishing feature class. The community parcels solution is designed to aggregate parcel information across jurisdictional boundaries to create a seamless set of parcels. Now, that being said there are ways of extending the tools for other uses – such as Tax Parcel publication. Chris

Those using the Land Use Public Notification application - please note that the app has been updated to better handle Web Mercator by defaulting the buffer method to Geodesic. If you are using Web Mercator for this app, please update your source code. Land Use Public Notification | ArcGIS for Local Government

Brian - are you using the schema that is part of the community parcel download? Can you send a copy of your dataset to arcgisteamlocalgov@esri.com? Thanks Chris

I was using the 'Compiled' field in reference to parcels that may have been generated from the geometry vs. cogo (as you suggested). Maybe Tim Hodson can dig up some details about how that related to the adjustment. I'm not sure that construct from parent will help you in this situation either (unless you know what the basis of bearing is and apply that to the parent parcel). And that's assuming that the existing parcel hasn't been adjusted to fit (scaled and rotated as Tim talks about). My guess is that the "split lines" that you create will also not perfectly close up to the parent lines and will require some "tweaking", extending or trimming. Have you tried this - what was the result?

Marc - The application currently doesn't support "multiple-input-method" label generation. In your case - where the parcel buffer may extend past the sub. boundary (which is common) entering a 300 ft. buffer into the sub boundary would notify too many property owners - but would most likely be better than notifying too few property owners. Hello Marc - The Land Use Public Notification application has been recently updated to include this functionality! If you use the Try-it-Now service you can experience this workflow. Step 1 - search the application for "Schools" Step 2 - Select a school district from the bottom of the search list Step 3 - Use it for notification In the config.js file, you'll want to updated this in the Application\PublicNotification\js folder for the application. The following is the MXD that houses the schoold districts in the sample data, think of that layer as your "overlay layer", much like the subdivisions that you want to deploy. AdministrativeAreas.mxd An ArcGIS for Desktop map used to author the AdministrativeAreas map and service. Please see the entire help documentation for more help. Hope this helps! Chris

Jeff - Would the ideal solution (option) be the inversed geometries as the COGO - and the calculated field on the lines marked to true or parcel marked compiled from records = true?

Setbacks are interesting - they can be restrictions, but not necessarily an encumbrance. Either way - you may want to be sure to code them appropriately given the parcel types included with the Parcel Maintenance solution. There are many tools that help you digitize and draw these types of parcel, and parcel lines. What type of document are you using to determine setbacks?

For 65,000 parcels, you shouldn't need to run the iterate tool, simply run the Load a Topology Tool or the new Fabric Loader included with the Tax Parcel Editing download or you can also get it on GitHub. The iterate tool should be used for very large datasets that will take a long time to load, 65,000 parcels should be fine. Chris

I have a question about migrating our parcel data into a parcel fabric. We currently maintain our parcels, lots, and subdivisions in three separate feature classes. Our office is looking to start taking advantage of parcel fabric and the local government information model. How would I go about bringing all our info from these three feature classes into the fabric? Will I have to combine all this data into just one feature class? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Adam, Please take a look at this link , posted as a sticky on this forum. Take a look at the Data Migration Resources for specifics and also see this forum post .

Where can we get more information or definitions for the types of simultaneous conveyances found in the lrSimConType domain? We are interested in using more of these at our organization. We found that for our subdivision boundaries that are not recorded at the county clerk??s office a simultaneous conveyance type exists that suits the purpose of these parcels. The lrSimConType 'Assessor Plat' will help us symbolize these on our map even though they do not have a legal data associated with them. We are interested in more features of the parcel fabric parcel types that can help us better model our land records data appropriately within the industry??s best practices. John - the best resource would be the "GIS and Land Records" book by Nancy Von Meyer. Frank Conkling did a great job summarizing the parcel types here. Hope this helps - let us know if you have specifics that aren't covered.
