Thanks George. Sounds like we may just need to rethink out structure a bit. Appreciate the quick help.

We have a feature data set that has been registered as versioned. When we try to edit feature classes in that dataset it shows a pop up that says the layer is not registered as versioned. But when I look in the properties of the layer it shows that it is in fact a versioned feature class. (see images below) The only thing I can think of that might be affecting this, is we have a layer in the feature dataset that gets deleted and recreated each week. If a new layer is added to a feature dataset that is versioned, would that cause this issue with the other layers in the feature dataset?

Is there a way in the Open Data format to track views or downloads of layers provided through my Open Data site? I know in ArcGIS Online you can view usages of layers and apps, but I'm curious to know how many people are using our Open Data platform specifically.

No anomaly there that I can see. Keep in mind that I can bring ESRI services in just fine and it shows everything. Just seems associated with my service. Not sure where in the service I would need to tweak this though.

Hi Randall, Thanks for the reply. The images are definitely cached, I can make the areas that didn't display show up just fine, I just have to pan those areas to the bottom right part of the map. It's only happening in layout mode with big maps. As of right now I have it set to 36x48 and it's bringing in just the bottom right quarter of the extent I'm viewing. Basically exactly 1/4 of the overall extent. Fiddler shows the tiles coming in fine, and never shows me any errors.

Hi Jayanta, The cache is all built. I can view it just fine when I'm not in layout mode. Seems more like something to do with the amount of data I'm trying to pull from my server. A perfect example is when I'm in layout mode and I pan the map to the SE. The area that displayed properly before is still in the frame it's just in the top right portion instead of the bottom left. The portion that drew before isn't showing up, but the bottom right of the map draws correctly.

Hello, I have a cached map service of the County that I put in the background of most of my maps. When I use smaller maps (8.5x11) it shows up find and everything is great. But when I try to use it in bigger maps (36x48) it doesn't fully display. It loads on part of the map, but not all. Is there a setting somewhere on my service that I need to beef up? How do I make it so that the service will fully load?

Hi, I was playing around with customizing my Open Data Portal's header and when I set the nav class equal to "navbar-fixed-top" instead of "navbar-static-top", it worked how I wanted but I was no longer able to edit the HTML. The gear icon just disappeared. I've had to recreate my page because of this. Is there something I'm missing? It's functionality I'd really like to have but seems like I can't currently.

I'm trying to look at my usage stats for different services. Currently I can see it for the Root level (which I assume is everything), but I can't select the boxes for any of my individual services. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm not seeing currently?

I have two geoprocessing services that are giving me fits. One of them is an extract data tool and one creates a csv. If I restart them they run solid for about a day, but after that I get a few different results. The extract data tool will look like it runs fine, but then when you open the newly downloaded features it's an empty feature class. The CSV creating service runs fine until the part where a query is introduced, it then says it's an invalid query. If I go into my ArcGIS Server Manager and hit the "Save and Restart" button, they are recycled and run fine for another day. I've played with the recycling settings in the processes tab but nothing seems to make a difference. I have a bunch of web and feature services that run just fine. It only seems to be the geoprocessing services. Below are the errors that show for some test geoprocessing services that I have set up. It seems like something is stopping the connection files on my ArcGIS Server from being able to hit my SDE data. I do have scripts that kill connections every night, but the connection files should still work once they've run, I would think at least. Data Extraction Service Submitted.

It would be so useful if the share widget gave the user the option to share the map with the active layers automatically turned on when a person opens the link. We had this option on our open source mapping app before switching over to AGOL, and it was a great feature for users to easily share the exact maps they were looking at.

Turns out all I needed to do was include the Clear Workspace Cache tool at the beginning of my script. Now runs like a champ. # Import arcpy module
import arcpy
import smtplib
# Local variables:
CROOKADMIN2_DBO_cornersTest = "Database Connections\\CROOKADMIN2.sde\\CROOKADMIN2.DBO.grids\\CROOKADMIN2.DBO.cornersTest"
DBO_cornersTest_Layer = "DBO.cornersTest_Layer"
# Process: Clear Workspace Cache
arcpy.ClearWorkspaceCache_management("")
# Process: Make Feature Layer
arcpy.MakeFeatureLayer_management(CROOKADMIN2_DBO_cornersTest, DBO_cornersTest_Layer, "hyperlink IS NULL", "", "OBJECTID OBJECTID VISIBLE NONE;alpha alpha VISIBLE NONE;hyperlink hyperlink VISIBLE NONE;GlobalID GlobalID VISIBLE NONE;township township VISIBLE NONE;range range VISIBLE NONE;numeric numeric VISIBLE NONE;lastedited_who lastedited_who VISIBLE NONE;lastedited_date lastedited_date VISIBLE NONE;Shape Shape VISIBLE NONE")
rows = arcpy.SearchCursor(DBO_cornersTest_Layer, fields="hyperlink")
numCorners = 0
# Iterate through the rows in the cursor and count the number of new records
for row in rows:
numCorners = numCorners + 1
# Process: Calculate Field
arcpy.CalculateField_management(DBO_cornersTest_Layer, "hyperlink", "'ftp://Surveys:*@share.co.crook.or.us/Monuments/*@share.co.crook.or.us/Monuments/' + !township! + !range! + !alpha! + '-' + !numeric! + '.pdf'", "PYTHON_9.3", "")
