On your server machine if you go to http://computername.domain/arcgis/mobile/content/mobileweb then you'll see all the web maps you see in the ArcGIS app. All these web maps are nothing but JSON files. These files are available in your hard drive at c:\arcgisserver\arcgismobile\mobileweb\maps\<unique name folder>. Not just in the http://computername.domain/arcgis/mobile. When you add this URL in the ArcGIS app, you see a list of maps. These are web maps and it has all service URLs. Okie..here is how you should handle this... Consider, if there are 5 layers a published map service but only 2 are visible. So you want to show legend for only 2 layer in the legend view. When you ask for legend with retrieveLegendInfo, then it returns legend for all layers. At this time you should add only layers which are visible in the self.legendInfos. Hope this helps!
