I tried both DOMAIN\username and just the username in the login screen - both methods fail. Hopefully this will work in ArcGIS 10.2.

Yes - I am in the Administrator group of server manager, and it won't authenticate my domain account. Has anyone got it working with domain accounts? I am getting invalid username or password error. Everything works great if I switch to use ArcGIS built in accounts and tokens...

Hello, I am having problems logging into my server manager site using my domain account. I switched the configuration settings to use Windows domain and using ArcGIS server built-in roles. Then, I created a new admin role and added my domain account to it. However, when I attempt to log in to the http://mysite:8080/arcgis/manager site with my domain account, I get a invalid credentails login failed error. I try this with the built-in siteadmin and it works perfectly. Any ideas why I can't log in with my domain account? Thanks, Igor

In IIS have you disabled Anonymous Authentication and enabled Windows Authentication for the web adaptor? http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//015400000517000000 Yes I have. The web adaptor running on port 8080 is not the issue. I want to see the rest/services folder on the default 6080 site but can't due to a 403 error. Where is the 6080 site hiding...nothing in IIS is using that port. Thanks, Igor

The solution for me was to enable Windows authentication instead of the built in tokens, but this broke publishing from ArcMap which is what I am trying to figure out now.

Hello, I have enabled Windows domain users in my manager settings, but when I did this my localhost:6080/arcgis/rest was returning a 403 error, but the localhost:6080/arcgis/admin was functioning properly. I have a web adaptor on port 8080, and the /arcgis/admin and arcgis/rest locations work fine with Windows authentication enabled. As soon as I switched back to the ArcGIS built in tokens, I was able to log in to localhost:6080/arcgis/admin with the siteadmin account. Also I wasn't able to see a site on port 6080 in IIS, just the web adaptor site I created on port 8080 and claimsweb running on port 80. Any way to get rid of the 403 error with windows authentication enabled accessing localhost:6080/arcgis/rest? I am using the Web authentication tier and mode. Thanks, Igor

Hello, I would like to ensure that all token requests use an HTTP Referer in my environment so I went to the token configuration page and added the line for clientid, but token requests are still bypassing the URL I specified and going to the wrong URL. Any ideas? { "type": "BUILTIN", "properties": { "clientid": "https://www.myhost.com", "longTimeout": "1440", "sharedKey": "82de21ed-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-057920821ac9", "shortTimeout": "60" } } Thanks, Igor

Hello, I have a Flex application that I created with security. When I launch the app and the login prompt appears, the login fails because it's attempting to login to the wrong URL. If I go to the token service and specify the correct URL in the HTTP referer, I can generate a token just fine. Is there a way to specify an HTTP referer for the Flex app when logging in? I am using a web adaptor on port 8080 on the web server, but the front end URL is on port 443 and according to Fiddler, the Flex app is attempting to access the port 8080 site for which I created a binding in IIS. Thanks, Igor

I was wondering if it is possible to import an application into the list of Application Builder instead of creating a new one? For example, if I want to just copy a project folder into the /flexviewers folder, and then somehow make it visible in the list. Would this be possible? Thanks, Igor

Hello, If I have a server running ArcSDE on SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise, would it be best practice to also install ArcGIS Server Enterpise 10.1 on the same server? The reason I am asking is because when I deploy a new service through ArcMap 10.1, it's giving me warnings that my layer's data source is ArcSDE and not accessed via direct connection. Should I move my ArcGIS Server software to the same server where ArcSDE resides to clear this warning message and hopefully get a performance boost? Thanks, Igor

Never mind, I was adding each layer individually into the "Selected Operational Layers" section. When I added the folder to the section, it appeared as a dynamic service and then I could see the labels. Thanks, Igor

Bjorn, When I publish the map as a service from ArcMap, when I am in the Service Editor, I am specifying to draw the map "Dynamically from the data" instead of using tiles from a cache, but I get the same results and the label text still doesn't show in the Flex App. Thanks, Igor

I am currently using ArcGIS 10.1 Desktop and Server. The MXD I am currently working on is very simple and has shape layers with the Labels feature enabled, and the labels are showing correctly in the MXD. I published this MXD as a service to my ArcGIS Server and then used ArcGIS Viewer for Flex to create a new application and then reference all of the feature layers from the service I just deployed. When I view the Flex App in the browser, the issue I am having is that all of my labels have disappeared and there is no way in ArcGIS Viewer for Flex to enable the label text to display. I had the same issue with opacity when I made my layers 50% transparent in the MXD but this would not translate over to the Flex App after deployment, but then discovered an easy way to set the transparency of the layers in the Application Builder. So how would I get these layer labels to appear in my Flex App? Any ideas would greatly help. Thanks, Igor

I found the issue! I created the table directly in SQL but when I created a similar table in ArcCatalog and referenced it in the script, everything worked fine. I guess it had something to do with creating the table directly in SQL.

Actually I tried it with a different table and the function worked - so the issue is maybe with the table permissions.
