Hi Jason, first, kudos on having a goal to start exploring GIS as a career (it's a great field to get into!). When it comes to an Esri technical certification, I'd suggest looking into the GIS Fundamentals Foundation or ArcGIS Pro Foundation–these are two entry-level exams that seem best suited for where you are right now and where you want to go. Both have learning plans that can help you prepare and both cost $250 US. Also, as Larry suggested, watch this video for tips to select and prepare for a certification exam.

Hi Geoffry, hopefully you've been able to download the data. Web course exercise data will extract automatically to C:\EsrTraining (the folder is created for you). The wording of the instruction is a little ambiguous and I'll pass that on to our team.

It's confirmed, 2022 will see another brand-new massive open online course (MOOC) delivered through Esri Academy. Transform AEC Projects with GIS and BIM opens on September 14 and runs for four weeks. As with other MOOCs, access to all the Esri software needed to complete the course exercises will be provided (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, ArcGIS 3D Analyst, and ArcGIS Drone2Map). Sign up if you're interested in the latest workflows to integrate GIS, CAD, and BIM workflows to streamline and enhance architecture, engineering, and construction projects. Hi, the ArcGIS Desktop Entry exam was recently retired. Here are two other new certifications that you may be interested in: GIS Fundamentals Foundation or ArcGIS Pro Foundation (if you're planning to learn ArcGIS Pro). Both exams have learning plans to help you prepare (look at the Exam Information Guides for links to the learning plans and to review important information about what each exam covers). Hi, just for future reference if you experience a 404 error with the Training site, trying doing a hard refresh of your browser (Ctrl+Refresh button). This almost always solves the problem, which could be due to you trying to access the site when we're publishing a lot of new content.
