Welcome back to Telecom GIS in Five Minutes. Today I want to show you a new experience, leveraging ArcGIS GeoBIM, one of the most anticipated collaborations between Esri and Autodesk. And showcase how it can possibly make your life easier in telecom projects.
We can't deny that Covid did change the world, but it also gave us a chance to revisit how important infrastructures are to all of us, to the society as a whole, and to sustain our businesses so they can run smoothly when they are needed the most.
If we take a look at the most common infrastructure life cycle. In many organizations, different types of data are siloed in disconnected systems. As a project moves through each phase, data may be created and stored in a particular system, but that data isn’t readily available or accessible in the next phase. This results in workflow inefficiencies, data duplication, rework, and higher costs throughout an asset’s lifecycle.
