We would like to make the navigation toolbar have a 'zoom to extent' button. Currently, the apps that we've downloaded (Parks Finder, My Government Services) only have a zoom in and zoom out button.
We would like the user to be able to click a button on the navigation toolbar to go 'home'.
Where in the config files for either of these apps is the navigation bar specified?  Can it be as easy as just turning this feature on?
In the story telling maps (arcgis online), they have a little house button at the top of the plus/minus that allows the user to go back to the original extent. We would like to implement that in these two local government apps.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Allison,

It's not as easy as turning the feature on--our apps use a zoom slider widget from the ArcGIS API for JavaScript that does not include the 'zoom to extent' feature.

You can add one to your apps fairly easily using a solution by Craig McDade, and another post offers some CSS for the solution.

Regards,
Mike
