To Whom It May Concern:
I am trying to determine the outcome from splitting as a line as it results to the geometry and attributes.
For Example:

If my line is 100 Meters in Length and has an Object ID of 1 and it is split in the middle it will result in:

ORIGINAL
OBJECT ID  LENGTH GLOBAL ID
1   100 M  A

OBJECT ID  LENGTH GLOBAL ID
1   50 M  A
2   50 M  B
Possible Results:
Original Feature (i.e. OBJ ID & GLOBAL ID- 1) is kept but length is modified. New Feature is created for (OBJ ID ?? 2) and new Global ID created.
Original Feature (i.e. OBJID ?? 1 & GLOBAL ID - 1) is deleted but recreated with same OBJ ID & Global ID. New Feature is created for (OBJ ID ?? 2 & GLOBAL ID - 2)

From this scenario, since the Object ID and the Global ID remains the same, I believe the assumption
Is that the features and geometry is modified. Or would a split result in both features being deleted and recreated with the same Object and Global ID?
Any help clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but I'll see if I can't help you clarify your question.

Both ObjectID and GlobalID are unique identifiers; that is, you can have one and only one feature with that number or GUID.  Also, in my experience, there is no consistency as to how new numbers are assigned or kept.  I haven't noticed anything with regards to length or direction that "predict" a certain value.

Hope that helps!
