Using ArcMap 10.2.2 and the Identify tool correctly identifies the features that are selected but it does not display all the feature's attributes, only one of them (in this case the field called 'subname').

Identifying features—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop which is possible if the other fields have been set to not be visible/viewable... check towards the bottom of the link. And you should open the table and check its properties as well

Not the exact answer I needed but it pointed me to the right spot. On the identify tool popout, there exist tiny expand/collapse buttons that split the information and can hide it if positioned wrong. Thanks!
